I just randomly came up with this idea at Wal-Mart… random I know! But I think it might end up being good… HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

This starts out in Sodas POV, when it switches ill put a line break.

"It's too hot out there, you go work the pumps. It'll make the girls happier."

Steve and I were fighting over who would work the pumps and who would do register today.

"I don't see any girl out there that attracts me. So feel free to do it." I told Steve as I tried to get past him to go to the register.

"Man, you need to get over sandy, it's been five months. Who knows, maybe the perfect girl for you is out there!"

I rolled my eyes "Fine, but trade me after……" I trailed off as I saw Steve staring past me at the boss's office. "What the heck are you looking at man?" I said annoyed, as I turned around.

I saw the best looking girl I had ever seen. She had curly dark brown hair that ended just below her chest; Dark green eyes which weren't covered in make-up, which was unusual here; and had nice long legs. She was wearing dirty, brown cowboy boots, really short shorts, a black tank top and a blue Dx shirt.

We both stood there, with our mouths gaping open, when the boss pointed her in our direction and she looked at us. We both looked away, trying to look like we were doing something other than staring at her beauty. I felt Steve elbow me, "go work the pumps." He said then walked away.

I turned and followed him "No way man. I wanna see this chick." I said as he went behind the counter. I jumped onto the counter and sat there while he glared at me.

"NO way, I saw her first."

"Well that's too bad then." I said as the girl came in hearing distance.

We both stared at her while she approached us.

"Hi, I'm Sam. You guys must be Steve and Soda?" she said, her voice like a angels.

~!~!~!~!~!~Sam~!~!~!~!~!~!~

I waited for a reply as Soda and Steve just stared at me. I rolled my eyes, typical.

"SO," I said loudly "who is who?"

I raised an eyebrow as they both shifted uncomfortably.

The one with the brown hair, that looked really cute, smiled at me "I'm Sodapop Curtis Nice to meet ya' Sam."

"Yea and I'm Steve Randle." The guy that had black swirly hair said. They both seemed okay to me.

"I'm gonna go out on the pumps, see ya' around Sam." Soda said as he jumped off the counter and went outside.

I looked at Steve, "So, Steve, what should I do now?" I asked as I came around the counter and leaned against it, beside him.

He looked me up and down, "What's a girl like you doing here?" he asked.

I stood there in shock for a minute before answering. "A girl like what Steve Randle? I don't see anything wrong with me being here. Considering I work here."

"A girl who has no idea about anything that has to do with cars. Hell, I've never even seen you around here before, probably don't even know the difference between a soc and greaser." He scoffed.

"Well Steve, I guess you're in for a surprise then. I know everything about cars, my brother taught me before he, died, and I know all about socs and greasers. I'm from New York. It's worse up there." I said quickly to him.

He glanced at me and leant against the counter, his eyes looking into mine "well, I'm sorry to hear about your brother."

"Don't be." I said as I looked around, I hated when people felt sorry for me. I looked up at him again after a few seconds.

"Alright then. You can work on those cars." He pointed to the garage. "I'll come back there later." I went into the garage and began working.
