Summary: Imagine that Harry and Ginny never kissed in book 6. Hermione and Ron never got together. Now, they're all back at Hogwarts to write their NEWTs and tensions rise.
"You want to make him jealous?"
"What?" Hermione looked up from her Charms essay to stare at one of her best friends. "Harry Potter, I believe you've gone absolutely bonkers!"
"I'm bonkers now?" Harry smiled, leaning into his seat before the fire. "Explain to me, 'Mione dearest how I, your good friend Harry, am a loony."
"That's simple," Hermione stated, abandoning her essay on the table before her. "You just offered to help me make someone jealous when I have no idea whatsoever as to whom the person in question is." Although her voice was quite steady while she delivered her speech, the crimson staining her cheeks indicated that she knew exactly what he was speaking of.
Involuntarily, she scanned the Gryffindor common room and found them crammed into one of the many love-seats, looking into each other's eyes like the romantic cliché they were. Hermione shuddered to think of what they would be doing if no one else was there. With a fierce determination blazing in her eyes, she turned back to Harry.
"I'm listening,"
Harry laughed, "Don't listen, just follow, and promise me you won't freak out." After getting a nod of assurance from Hermione, he did something no one in that common room would forget.
He leaned towards Hermione, grabbed her by her shoulders and kissed her.
Just a plot bunny running around in my head... What do you think? Should I continue it or delete it?
