Before the brother could say anything, another voice spoke up. "Princess Yona… Prince Yamiyo…. We'll be departing soon."

Unfortunately, the wife passed away from the childbirth and it was up to the father to raise his children with great care. His son who will become the Emperor when the time comes while his daughter is a beautiful young lady who will have many suitors. The father wasn't too concern about his daughter since he knew she'll make a wonderful bride in the future with alliance kingdom. He is, right now very concerns for his eldest twin son.

His son is no doubly a handsome young prince with excellent swordsmanship skill. He is an excellent gentleman and thoughtful young boy. He is always hunger for adventures outside of the castle. And always curious about the differences in the world. However, that's not what he was concerned about, he was concern that his son is now fifteen years old and not once, not even the slightest bit interest courting any women. The father doesn't want his son so to be so lonely once he becomes an Emperor.

The Emperor sighed to himself as he sits on a comfortable pillow while holding his warm tea. He furrowed his eyebrows with thinking. 'Maybe, once he and Yona turn sixteen on their birthday, I will have a talk with him.' He decided.

Then when one of the servants came and announce that the preparation is ready. The Emperor stood up and left his bedroom to the outside of the court were all commoners and staffs gathered. The King lifted his chin up and make his grand speech.

Meanwhile, Hak is holding a spear as he glanced around. "Where's Princess?" he asked one of the guards with curious.

"She is still getting ready, sir."

Hak frowned. "Ah, that's right… because he's coming." Then glanced at the guard. "Any news about the Prince?"

"He's on his way."

Hak nodded his head then turn his attention back to the King's speech. "…both of my children will soon turn sixteen. May the ancient Crimson Dragon King bless us with everlasting peace!" the crowded cheered and applauded.

"We're here, your highness." One of the guards said to the Prince Yamiyo who climbed off the horse and gave gentle pats. Prince Yamiyo is one of the handsome young teenage, his bright red hair reached to his waist-length with nose-length bangs, sharp lime-golden eyes, fair skin, and wears neatly burnt orange hakama and leather black boots. Yamiyo grabbed his bag that he brought for his little sister's birthday gift and for others as well.

"Thank you." Yamiyo whispered to the horse for the help and nodded his head at the guards. He turned around and walked inside of the castle. He greeted the staffs and members-like until he saw his little sister lifted up on the horse with their cousin, Soo-Won. Yamiyo noticed his father was watching them with nervous. "Don't worry about them. Soo-Won is a good rider." Yamiyo said as he walked up to his father.

The Emperor turned around and beamed at his eldest twin son. "Welcome back, my son." Yamiyo bowed his head respectfully to his father.

"I've returned, father." Then he glanced over and saw his little sister's blushing hard but with gentle smiles on her face. "Imouto looked very happy today."

Emperor frowned. "I'm… not going to accept Soo-Won to be my daughter's husband."

Yamiyo sighed softly. "Father, you know Yona always loves him ever since she was a little girl. You always provided her things, why not, him too? It truly makes her happy."

"I can't. I rather have Hak engage to her." Emperor stubbornly said.

The prince hummed then glanced at his sister and noticed her upset expression. 'Wonder what she is upset this time?' he mused. "I'm going to retreat to my chamber and clean. I'll see imouto soon." His father nodded his head and Yamiyo left.

Yamiyo finished refreshed himself and walked in with loose white yukata. He heard his door knocked which made him curious. "Yes?" the door slid open and he saw surprised to see Soo-Won. "Greeting, cousin." He nods his head with a small smile.

"So, you have returned, after all." Soo-Won slid the door shut behind him. He watches Yamiyo walked to the table, he sat down and grabbed the comb. "Please, allow me." Soo-Won walked up to Yamiyo.

The prince raised his eyebrows at him then handed him the comb. Yamiyo closed his eyes when Soo-Won gently takes a few strands of red hair and comb. "Why was my imouto upset early today?" Yamiyo asked with curious and hint of protective.

Soo-Won smiles softly. "Princess Yona told me that she will be engaged as well."

"Engaged?" Yamiyo blinked.

"Yes, to Hak."

Yamiyo mentally snorted as he has a feeling she lied to Soo-Won. "She said this after you told her that you will find a woman to engage, right?"

"That is correct."

The prince hummed, and silence appeared for two comfortable young men. When Soo-Won finished combed the prince's hair. He picked up the prince's hand to gently kiss. "My prince… I do not want to be engaged." Yamiyo opened his eyes half-way. He turned around half-way as the piece of his hair that Soo-Won held onto slipped away from his long fingers. "I wish to be allowed to pick my own, with my choice."

"…you don't normally have problems whenever the councils made choices for you. However, it seems that you have someone interest in your heart." Yamiyo said after he examined his cousin and dear friend. "Is that why you did not attempt to capture my imouto's heart?" he knew that Soo-Won knew Yona has feelings for him.

Soo-Won stared at the prince's eyes. "There is someone. Special to me, that I don't want to lose, that I'm scared to lose." He whispered.

"Is she a servant?" Yamiyo asked with curious.

Soo-Won shook his head.

"A commoner?"

Again, no.

"Hmm… too young?"

Again, another no.

"Then, was she already married? Is that why?"

Once again, no.

Yamiyo furrowed his eyebrows. "I do not understand." Soo-Won stared at him, then reached for his hair and gently lifted up to his lip with a burning passion in his eyes.

The prince just stared at his cousin with confused until he realizes it slowly. "…you're in love with a man." He blurted it out calmly.

Soo-Won closed his eyes. "Not just a man." He whispered as he opens his eyes half-way.

Immediately, the prince knew. "So-hmph!" Yamiyo eyes widen in stunned when Soo-Won claimed the prince's lips against his. Yamiyo shut his eyes as he placed his hands against his cousin's chest in an attempt to push him away. However, Soo-Won leaned forward as he aggressively kisses the prince. "Mmmpfh!" Yamiyo tried to pull away but Soo-Won kept him in his arms.

When Yamiyo felt Soo-Won's tongue touch his lip. He jerked his head away as he swallows the oxygen. "Soo-Won." He gritted his teeth as he stood up before he got loose from Soo-Won's hands. "I'm sorry. But I would like you to leave." Yamiyo walked across the room with his back on Soo-Won.

Soo-Won stared intensely at Yamiyo then he stood up gracefully. He walked to the door but paused. "I will not give up on you, Yamiyo. You belong to me, just as I belong to you." He whispered then left the room.

The prince covered his eyes, feeling extremely exhausted mentally and emotionally. 'Damn it… this is wrong! Why me?' he clicked his tongue sharply and quickly get dress properly.

"Nii-sama!" Yona glopped onto Yamiyo cheerfully. The prince caught her effortlessly with a charming smile on his face. "I miss you so much!"

"I miss you too, imouto." Yamiyo pecked his little sister's forehead. "I got you something."

Yona breaks the hug and beamed at him with excitement. Yamiyo took out a beautiful bracelet that was made with beads and written kanji of her name on the middle. The prince placed the bracelet around Yona's right wrist. "There, happy early birthday."

"It's beautiful! I love it!" Yona hugged her older twin happily.

Yamiyo glanced up and smiles at his childhood friend. "Hello, Hak."

Hak greeted the prince with a soft friendly smile. Yamiyo glanced back at his happy, cheerful sister. He couldn't help it but feel guilty, he didn't expect that their cousin would have felt to him. 'If only he could transfer that feeling to Yona instead.' He isn't against homosexual at all, in fact, he knew a few he met during his journey and they were wonderful and nice men. 'It would also explain his lack of interest with women…' just like him, as well, Yamiyo isn't interested in women either. However, he doesn't have any feelings toward Soo-Won, he only sees him as friend and family. That was it.

Meanwhile, when Yamiyo is busing thinking and Yona hugging him. Hak silently watched the prince. 'Something bothering him.' Hak mused with suspicion.

Five Days Later

The banquet to celebrate for twins' sixteen birthday was held at Hiryuu Castle. Yona and Yamiyo stood next to each other in their finest and expensive robes. The Emperor cries with joyful. "Ungh… sixteen already… you've both become wonderful!"

Yamiyo smiles gently at his father while Yona pouted over her curly red hair. "Father, my hair is curly mess. I wanted to put my hair up today. It looks awful." The princess whined.

The prince sweatdropped while the father slumped his shoulders. "Hey now… you have beautiful hair." Yamiyo compliment.

"Nii-sama… your hair is long, straight and smooth…" Yona eyeing at her brother's beautiful hair with envy.

"It's no use. The only thing this girl thinks about is her hair." Their father sighed. He turned around before he told them that he will be greeted with the guests.

Yona noticed Soo-Won while Yamiyo grimaced slightly and glanced away with his arms crossed. Yona walked up to Soo-Won with blushing. "Y-you need something?"

Soo-Won smiles charmingly at her. "Hold out your hand." He gave her a beautiful flower of a hairpin.

"A hairpin." Yona examined the gift.

Soo-Won smiles widely. "Sorry. I wanted to give it to you here. Because I thought it suited you perfectly."

"My hair…" Yona grabbed a piece of her curly hair. "Always curls up randomly, and I can't straighten this red hair out completely. It doesn't suit me. Nii-sama's hair was born with straight." She pouted.

Soo-Won stared at her then glanced at the prince who avoiding his eyes. "I love your hair…" Soo-Won whispered then glanced back to the princess. "It's a beautiful crimson. It's the color of the dawning sky."

'Is he flirting with my imouto?!' Yamiyo turned his attention on Soo-Won who is staring at Yona. He narrowed his eyes at his cousin in suspicion and cautioned. He doesn't want Soo-Won to play with his little sister's heart.

Suddenly, Hak appeared between Yona and Soo-Won who both are surprised to see him. Hak crossed his arms. "His Majesty has been looking for you and Prince."

Yona sighed heavily. "That drunkard!" she turned around and quickly leave the room. Yamiyo was about to follow but halted when Soo-Won called out his name.

"I have a gift for you, Yamiyo." Soo-Won smiles at the prince who is eyeing at him with cautioned. "Please, hold out your hand."

It's a necklace with garnet gemstone. Yamiyo knew the meaning behind the stone. 'Passion, love, inspiration and romance. So, he wasn't joking when he says he won't give up on me.' The prince frowned. "I don't wear necklace." He lied smoothly. Soo-Won smiles with knowingly eyes. 'Of course, he would know I lied. It's a good thing that Yona didn't get a chance to study the gemstones symbolic.' Yamiyo turned around. "Thanks." He left the room.

"Is there something going on between you and the prince?" Hak asked with curious.

Soo-Won turned around and shook his head. "No."

Hak crossed his arms. "Anyways, don't you feel something, Lord Soo-Won? I can't say for certain, but something doesn't feel right. Like someone has infiltrated the castle grounds."

"Now that you mention it, Yona told me something like that, too." Soo-Won frowned.

"What?!"

"You ought to investigate the people who came today." Soo-Won does concerns for Yona, but he also doesn't want Yamiyo to get hurt. It will be his fault.

Hak ran off immediately. "Roger that! I'm leaving the Princess in your care, Lord Soo-Won."

Soo-Won watched Hak left then frowned deeply. "I don't want the princess… I do not mind watching over her… but I want him." He whispered to himself quietly.

.

.

The loud cries and clangs of metals immediately woken the prince. Yamiyo sat up, feeling sleepy with confused. When he heard another battle cry outside. "What the hell is going on?!" he stood up, grabbed his pants and loose haroi that barely covered his naked toned torso. He slipped on his leather black boots and grabbed his faithful sword. Yamiyo walked out of the chamber and glanced around with cautioned.

The prince ran down the direction where he heard the loud battle going on. 'Intruder?' when he arrived at the scene, he paused with shocked when he saw Hak grabbed his imouto and ran off. 'What?' He noticed Soo-Won is covered with blood. 'What… what the hell is going on?!'

He didn't notice someone crept up behind him and stab him through the shoulder with a sword. "Shit!" Yamiyo snapped in pain that caught the rest of the group attention. Soo-Won jerked his head around and his eyes widen.

"Don't! Don't harm him! I order you not to harm Yamiyo!" Soo-Won snapped and turned to one of the solider. "Capture that man who injured Yamiyo, now!" orders obeyed, and Soo-Won quickly ran to Yamiyo.

"Yamiyo…" Soo-Won whispered gently as his eyes soften at the prince. "Your shoulder… it needs to be treated right away before it gets infected." He attempts to soothe the prince.

The prince jerked away from Soo-Won as he free hand touch his wound shoulder. "Stay the hell away from me. You better talk before I use my sword on you." Yamiyo warned his cousin with anger.

Soo-Won raised his hand to halt his soldiers with sad eyes. "Of course. King Il is dead." Yamiyo froze. "King Il killed my father and I will inherit the throne for my father's dying wish. Normally, I would have to kill you in order to become this Nation's King."

The prince dryly chuckled. "So, you want to kill me?" 'This is messed up, first, he said that he loves me but then he will kill me.'

Soo-Won shook his head. "No. I refused to spill your blood. Instead, we'll take the throne together. As lovers."

Yamiyo snorted. "Why should I accept this? I refuse to be yours, I'm never yours from the first beginning. I do not love you." His lime-golden eyes stare dead cold on Soo-Won.

"…you'll learn to love me. Eventually." Soo-Won whispered with his eyes lower.

"….No. I refuse to learn to love murder." Soo-Won closed his eyes and Yamiyo glanced around in caution. He needed to find a way to escape and find his imouto and Hak as soon as possible.

Soo-Won turned to his soldiers. "Take Yamiyo to my bedchamber-"I refuse to go anywhere near you!" Yamiyo snapped at Soo-Won. Soo-Won took a breather. "Take him to his bedchamber and have a healer to take a look at his wound." He ordered.

He watched Yamiyo taken return back to his bedchamber in silent. Soo-Won grabbed his sword from the solider and turned to the soon-to-be dead man who dared to stab his soon-to-be lover. He swings his sword and beheaded the soldier. "Let this be a lesson to you all, never harm Yamiyo." He warned them darkly. 'Soon, you will understand this and I promise you, Yamiyo, I will make sure you stay happy and well love.' Soo-Won silently vowed.
