If you asked Dean why he was there he would mumble something about having to watch Sammy. Everyone knew the real reason he was there though. It was his first time at this new school as much as it was Sam's first time. It made sense why Sam was at the freshman orientation; after all he was a freshman, however Dean got a lot of funny looks. He was a senior but unfortunately for him this was a mandatory orientation for all freshmen and new students. Dean grumbled through the whole endeavor, refusing to play any of the 'get to know your classmate' games and actually jumping so high when it was over that someone asked him if he played basketball.
To say that Dean hated this new school already was an understatement. His feelings didn't get any better when he met with his guidance councilor. Sam was there too, after all they had to make sure all of their papers were in order and their classes were correct. In Dean's opinion Sam had it easy. The school system had just changed the required classes for the students. That meant that Sam didn't have to take all the classes that Dean did. Sam didn't have to take health, Geography, and CECA, the computer class. Dean had to take all of them. Sure if Sam didn't fill his schedule up the classes were automatically placed there but still he didn't have to take them. Dean's last high schools didn't have the students take these classes either which meant that Dean had to take freshman classes his senior year. If that wasn't bad enough this was the first graduating class for the school which meant extra pressure on all the students, even the new ones. Just to make his day even worse those extra classes gave him seven classes a day. Which he found out was not the norm for seniors or even juniors who usually ended there day at lunch after five classes. Dean was not a happy camper; Sam couldn't have been more pleased though to see Dean so distressed.
