Timeline: Canon to Famiglia
Side Story: Sirius Chronicle

Dear Sirius,

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to send you many letters as of late; it's not for the lack of trying mind you. Do you remember when I said that the Dursleys were planning a trip? Well they brought me along for the ride. Shocking I know; the Dursleys being nice? It's like the sign of the apocalypse! In fact I was certain that they had gone off their rocker, especially to such a foreign country! Nevertheless that's what they did. I was stunned that they would actual bring me since you know of their dislike of magic and all that; which brings me to my next point.

Sirius...please don't get mad at this next part okay?

They left me in Japan. No I mean it. They had no intention of staying, it was a ploy to leave me there before heading back to England. I'm without my trunk, my books or anything other than my wand, my invisibility cloak, the map, the photo album and Hedwig.

She had only just returned the day of my birthday day; I don't know how she managed to escape from the Dursleys or how fast she had found me but she had. So I gave her a few days rest before sending you this letter.

I'm going to be honest with you Sirius; I've met a great bunch of friends here in Japan and...I'm torn. I don't know if I want to come back to England of or if I want to stay here; I miss you, Ron and Hermione and everyone else but at the same time I feel like I've finally found my place. I don't know what to do...

Love,

Harry

PS: The town I'm in is called Namimori.

Sirius pressed his lips together thinly his grip on the letter tightened dealing with the anger that threatened to erupt. How could those monsters leave his precious godson strained in Japan?! Thank Merlin that Harry had sense to keep a hold on his wand and the invisibility cloak; that way his godson at least was armed. His knowledge in regards to Japan's stance of the stature of secrecy was next to nothing, regardless, Sirius knew that Harry was a resourceful lad; after all he had saved him from the Dementors!

Still he was worried about his godson granted Harry managed to make some new friends which gave Sirius a small amount of relief. At least he wasn't entirely alone by himself, not that Sirius discounted Hedwig, while he liked Hermione and Ron, he knew that Harry needed friends outside of those two. And from the letter he seemed rather happy. However, Sirius was able to see the distress and dilemma Harry was facing. Return back to Hogwarts to Ron, Hermione and masses or remain in Japan with his new found friends; it was something that he understood perfectly having fallen into a similar situation back in his youth. Sirius desperately wanted to give Harry good advice that would give him happiest.

He was not dumb enough to think that Harry had the best of childhoods in the world. In fact it was nearly an akin to his own, his expression darkened feeling the memories from surfacing before surpassing them again. That was then and this was the now.

The dark haired man massaged his temple. It was obvious what he had to done now. But first...

Sirius reached for his quill pulling a sheet of parchment quickly writing his reply before handing the letter back to the snowy owl, but not before he handed Hedwig a taste owl treat. He watched bemused as Hedwig happily devoured the treat and nibbled him affectionately on the ear, shooting straight into the air without a moment's hesitation.

It was time to head off...

"Where is Namimori anyway?"
