It was raining hard as Roy and I were on our mission to take down a rouge chimera. The problem with our partnership was that Roy couldn't use his flame alchemy in the rain because rain + wet gloves no fire. So we had to count on my alchemy and Roy's martial arts. Unfortunately for us the stupid thing would block both of our attacks then counter attack, so now we were running around in circles trying to get a hit in every now and then. We both ducked behind a stone wall to get a plan as to how to take this thing down. "Ed, we can't hit that thing."

"I know. We need a distraction."

"Ok so which of us will distract it?"

"Well someone strong…"

"Yeah…"

"Someone brave…"

"Uh huh…"

"Someone tall…"

"Uhhhh…" Roy was now looking at me with a look that clearly said "Oh hell no!"

"Well who else will? I have to hit the thing since you can't use your alchemy.

"What do you want me to do, put on a tutu and do a ballet dance for it!"

"I can just see it now. Roy Mustang main dancer for Swan Lake."

"Stop now. Just stop. I'll do it. But I don't now how long it will last.

"I just need 10 minutes. That way it gives me time to clime the metal beams to get to the steal beams at the top. Then when you get it under them…BAM! No more chimera.

"All right on three. 1…2…3!" Roy ran out shooting his gun to get the monsters attention. "Come on ugly. Come and get me." Enraged the chimera ran in the direction that Roy had gone.

"Be careful Roy." I ran over to the structure and started climbing. When I got half way up I could see Roy running and jumping to avoid the chimera's attacks. If the situation was a little less serious it would be funny seeing the colonel jumping around like a pogo stick. I continued to climb and finally got to the top and changed the beams into a spiked ball.

"Roy, over here!" At that moment Roy came running around the corner waving his arms around with a look on his face that said "I'm going to die!" The Chimera had rolled up in to a spiky ball and was rolling around. It slammed into the structure that I was on and made me loose balance.

"Edward!" As I fell my ankle landed on a beam and I knew it broke. Luckily I landed on some cardboard boxes and it broke my fall. I knew my ankle was broken but what worried me more was that I had a huge Chimera looking down on me with its spiked tail getting ready to attack.

Closing my eyes and waiting for the impact I felt someone shove me out of the way. I opened my eyes just in time to see the chimera's tail rip into Roy's flesh and throw him like a rag doll to collide with a concrete wall behind him. Not caring about my ankle or the chimera which was being distracted by some gun shots from our back up, I limped over to Roy's prone form. As I fell next to him I could see that his breathing was irregular and blood was coming from from the back of his head, nose, and mouth. Whenever he took a breath is made a slight gurgle sound which meant that his lungs must have been punctured. The chimera behind us gave a loud scream as it most likely died. Turning around I foud that Meas and Havoc were standing next to the ball of spikes that had killed the creature. Meas rushed over and placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Is he dead?"

"No hes alive. But barely." At first I thought he didn't hear me because he took his hand from my shoulder. But I knew that he hered me when he talked into his comuicator.

"One down. Roy Mustang. Immediate attention is needed."

"Yes Sir! We'll be there in five minutes."

"Fine Meas out." Havoic then placed his arms around Meas in a comforting sign. I looked on at Roy as his every breath sounded like his last.
