Hahahaha finally rewrote this to have it make more sense. I apologize for the long time and I promise the next chapter will be up soon.
I don't own Underworld or Castle, but this plot line is mine.
Sunlight cracked through the blinds, yet that was not what woke the detective, or the writer from slumber. It was the annoying ringing of her phone that roused them. She sat up, hair in all angles as she picked it up.
"Beckett." She said, covering her mouth as she yawned "Yes sir, we'll be right there." She hung up her phone and turned to face the half asleep man next to her "Castle, get up, we have a case." The only response was a groan. He shifted and moved so he had pulled her even closer to his chest.
"Come on Kate," He mumbled, sleep lacing his voice "Can't I get a few more minutes?"
"No, come on Castle, Espisido and Ryan need us there soon." Kate tossed his arm off, sat up and rubbed her eyes "I expect you in the shower in five minutes." With that, she walked out of the room. Her lips curled into a subtle smirk as she heard him scrambling to get out of bed so he could join her in the shower.
-Break-
"So what do we got?" Kate asked as she and Rick slipped under the crime scene tape and over to the body. Both were carrying a cup of freshly brewed coffee that was already half empty.
"Boy in his late teens, no lacerations to the chest, but there seem to be two small puncture wounds to the neck, on the jugular." Lanie told her friend and raised an eyebrow when she saw Rick perk up significantly "He was mostly bled dry, but there isn't any sign of blood splatters or smears."
"If I may," He interjected "Could it be possible that vampires have anything to do with this? I mean, it all makes sense. Drained of blood, two bite marks on his necks. It's the only thing that makes sense." Kate glanced at Rick with a raised eyebrow.
"Castle, stop living in your twisted fantasies, there's no such things as vampires, now, let's get this body back to the morgue and we can see if Ryan or Esposito has an ID."
"I'm going to interject." Javier said, walking forward with what was assumed to be the man's wallet "His name is Sebastian Alexander Corvin. We're going to run a check when we get back to the precinct for any family living in the area."
"Did you say Corvin?" Rick asked, and when he received a nod, he jumped up in excitement. There was a knowing gleam in his eyes "When you guys get family, tell me if there is a Michael Corvin related to him. I have to know."
"Castle, what are you going on?" Kate responded with narrowed eyes. The man pulled out his phone and started typing furiously before showing off a news report from twelve years prior of a man named Michael Corvin, who had been accused of being part of a subway shoot out.
"Michael Corvin. He was accused in a shootout in Hungary twelve years ago. Managed to evade arrest but six months after the shootout, he had been marked as an immortal. That was the last anyone had heard of him. It was said that he had been captured but escaped with a vampire who was held captive." He said, excitedly, but earned an eye roll from the detectives.
"Come on Castle, you can't believe everything you read on the internet." Kevin said, patting the writer on the back before going to his car to head back to the precinct. Esposito followed suit, jumping into the passenger's side.
"The boys are right, Castle." She said, laughing at her partner "The internet is full of lies. Maybe this Michael Corvin is related, but I assure you he is not immortal. He's just a normal human being like everyone else in the rest of the world."
"I'll bet you five dollars that if, he is real and related, that he is linked to this.. purge in Hungary." He smirked at her "Unless you're scared."
"You're on."
