Hello everybody. I'm so glad that you all liked my old story. This is a rewrite of my story Ryoma's What!? I hope you all like this one a lot better than the old one.

Disclaimer: I don't own Prince of Tennis

It was summer time at the Seigaku tennis club. Everybody was practicing hard, getting ready for the Kantou tournament that was the next week. The Seigaku tennis regulars were the hardest at work, going all out against each other. All but one, who was not there.

"Man, it's not like Ryoma to miss practice at a time like this." Said Momo.

"Nya, you're right. Ochibi would never miss practice." Eiji said jumping behind Oishi. "Maybe he's been kidnapped, of what if he's hurt, or maybe,,,,"

"Enough Eiji. There is a 98% change that Echizen was sick today and stayed home." Said Inui.

"Mina-san gather around." Called Ryuzaki-sensei, "Next week is the Kantou tournament. I want everyone on their best behavior when we get there. Try not to get sick. We need you healthy and fit. Practice is over for today. That is all. Tezuka, dismiss them." With that, Ryuzaki-sensei walked off to her office.

"Mina-san, Yudan sezuni ni ikou. Dismissed." A round of "hais" were heard as everyone headed to the clubhouse to change.

"Ne ne, let's go see how ochibi is. I bet he would love a visit from us. What do you say?" asked Eiji.

"Maybe not today Eiji. He's probably really tired." Said Oishi.

"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEAAASSSSEEEEE, Oishi?" Eiji pouted as hard as he could.

Oishi signed and looked to the other regulars for some help, though none came. Guess they were going to check on Echizen after all. After changing, the regulars and the trio (who had homework for Ryoma) met up the Sakuno and Tomo-chan. They were coming along to make sure he was alright for themselves. Nobody noticed the pair of eyes watching then through the shadows of the setting sun.

As they were making their way towards Ryoma's house, the setting sun cast deep shadows that had them playing with their imagination. Shadows of strange animals and the occasional eyeball watching them made the trip take a bit shorter than it normally did. The younger members and the freshmen stood behind each other, trying to hide themselves from whatever was in the bushes. The four older members tried to keep their cool, but you could tell from the sweat down their faces, they were tense.

They finally reached the Echizen house, but the strange feeling of being followed did not stop. Tezuka rang the doorbell. No answer. He knocked on the door. He did not expect the door to slowly creek open. The others behind him hid behind his back, looking into the dark hallway.

"Who wants to go first?" whispered Momo. Nobody answered him, except Fuji, who slowly walked onto first floor. One by one the group entered the home.

What they saw was not what they were expecting at all. The once neat and clean house was beyond repair. The doors were smashed in, the walls had strips missing from them, like they had been clawed by a large animal. The furniture was tuned over and in shreds. Glass splattered the floor, making it almost impossible to navigate without stepping on something. The windows had been smashed in, and the kitchen was a mess. Pots and pans littered the floor, some cracked and some split all the way.

Fuji bent down and picked up the edge of a photograph. Turning it around, red covered most of the page but the corner he was holding. Nudging Tezuka, not wanting the others to see, he showed the blood soaked paper to the captain. He could just make out the outline of a small family, smiling together, without a care in the world. Tezuka signed as he dropped the photo and motioned for the rest of the group to keep moving.

The living room was worse. Couches and chairs were toppled over and the TV was in pieces on the floor. Wood from somewhere scattered the floor, hiding away any kind of evidence of what happened here. Near the corner, behind the largest couch, was a dark spot. Knowing the possibly of what of who laid there, Tezuka crept behind the couch. He closed his eyes as soon as he saw the source of the dark spot.

"We need to call the police. Let them decide what to do from here." He sighed.

"But what about Ochibi? He could still be here somewhere." Exclaimed Eiji followed by a nod from Momo.

"We can't Eiji. We have to contact the police, then we can get some answers, ok?" Eiji nodded with his head down. Fuji grabbed for his phone in his back pocket, dialing the police.

"Hello, what is your emergency?"

"Um yes, we just found a friend of ours house in a wreck, and… we found…."

"Hello? Are you still there? Hello? HELLO?!"

The call had disconnected.
