The Wasteland War
Prologue
Three years have passed since Jak and Daxter destroyed the Dark Makers machine and saved the world, again. With their triumphant return to Haven city our hero's looked forward to helping Havens citizenry in rebuilding their city. But, not everyone welcomed this upstarts return.
Those who had supported Count Veger and Baron Praxis were not happy at all that Jak and Daxter had returned, and what was worse they learned that Jak was the son of their deposed king Damas. With Jak's return the followers of Veger feared retribution and so gathered their wealth and minions, not to mention a fair amount of old Krimzon Guard technology and fled to the Wasteland.
From the followers of Veger a leader emerged, Viscount Gol Archon. A brutal and efficient leader Archon began to build a power base within a forgotten mountain stronghold deep within the Wasteland.
Who constructed this place remained a mystery did Wastelanders construct it or perhaps it was created in the early days of the Metal Head invasion, it didn't really matter to Gol, it was secluded enough to allow him to build an army to reclaim Haven city "But", thought Gol "why should I stop there? After all, with this army I could rule this whole planet!" Gol began to chuckle and continued to think of his grandiose future as looked upon rank after rank of modified KG Death Bots awaiting the command to march and to destroy.
Wastelander scouts soon returned with reports of a large force moving toward Haven city, this bit of intelligence was quickly relayed to Spargus's new king Sig, "Are you sure about this?" asked Sig, "Positive sir, an army of Death Bots and Marauders are moving toward Haven city." replied the Wastelander. "Send word to Haven, tell Jak that it's bad news heading his way." Continued Sig, "And tell him that Spargus is willing to help out." "Yes sir" and without another word the Wastelander stood and raced toward the waiting transport to Haven.
The atmosphere in the command center was tense, "Who the hell would have Death Bots, let alone have an army of 'um?" spoke Torn, "Maybe members of the old regime have staged this latest trial?" mused Samos, "I don't care who they are I just want them dealt with, with extreme prejudice." replied Jak, "You know what I thinkā¦" began Daxter till Samos thumped him on the head with his staff "Zip it Daxter, this is serious." Rubbing his head Daxter was just about to send a nasty remark back at Samos when Ashelin broke in. "Enough, we need to mobilize the troops and prepare the city's defenses, and we need to do it now!" "Right, let's do it." replied Jak, "They are going to regret this act just before I deal with them."
