But is there really a right answer?
Ethics or emotion?
Ethics told both of them that it was as far away from right as it physically could be.
She was half his age
He used to be her teacher
They both already had a significant other
Emotionally however…
How could it possibly be wrong when it felt so right?
For her, when they had their in-depth conversations about the latest non-fiction and he spoke with such warmth and understanding or whenever he favoured her opinion over all others, treating her like an adult rather than the child she was accustomed to, would she feel her breath hitch in her throat and the constricting feeling in her chest that meant her heart was beating a mile-a-minute.
For him, when she displayed that thirst for knowledge that only she could do with such class or when she showed that smile that made her glow with such a natural looking light that it would look so unnatural on anyone else that he wondered why he had been so blessed to know such an angel?
They only thing that stopped them from telling that they loved the other?
