"Azarath Metrion Zinthos. Azarath Metrion Zinthos. Azarath Metrion Zinthos. Azararath…" Raven drifted off slowly. Meditating at night would cause her to feel so calm, she could sleep.
Suddenly a quiet knock was at the door. Raven didn't need X-Ray vision to see who was there. Only one green-skinned boy would know she was awake. He was the only one who would talk to Raven with honesty.
"Come in," Raven said quietly. The door automatically opened, revealing a sleepy looking Beastboy. He rubbed his eyes, and slowly dragged his feet over to the bed. "Yes?" Raven asked kindly. She only used that kindness towards him.
Beastboy collapsed next to Raven. She giggled, which wasn't unusual. Beastboy brought her that joy. He wrapped his arm around her waist. Raven pulled the bedspread up, since it was so cold. She cuddled in Beastboy's arms. It was her safe haven. She knew he would do anything for her safety-she would do anything to protect him as well.
She leaned down to kiss his cheek, but he quickly turned, so she kissed his lips. Raven blushed, causing Beastboy to chuckle. He pulled her closer, so her head was resting on his chest.
"How many times have you pulled that kiss trick on me?" Raven asked, pretending to be mad.
Beastboy grinned. "Over nine thousand!"
"Dork." Raven opened her mouth to say more, but Beastboy clasped his hand over her mouth. She tried to speak, but his hand muffled her voice. He pulled away his hand, and before she could speak, he kissed her deeply. Finally, when they broke away to breathe, Raven felt her face to find it was burning hot. She stared into Beastboy's hypnotic eyes, and once again opened her mouth to speak. Beastby cut her off, by kissing her passionately.
"It's not polite to interrupt, BB." Raven scolded.
"I'm sorry."
"I forgive you."
Beastboy hugged her tightly. They drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
