Lily stopped next to the common room couch, staring down at James' sleeping face.
"Oh, why don't you just kiss him already." said Sirius as he came down the stairs from where he had seen Lily.
Lily blushed before turning to Sirius with a smirk.
"Would you like to do the honors, Sirius?" She said.
"Ew no," said Sirius, making a face. "I' am not kissing James' fishy lips. That's your job."
Lily chuckled and smiled at Sirius as he exited the portal hole in the wall before turning back an kneeling beside the couch.
He really is quite beautiful, she thought. I've spent all these years hating him and I never really got the chance to notice.
She reached out a hand to his face, tracing his cheek bones and lips with her fingertips. She couldn't imagine hating him now. Not when he was so sweet to her.
James stirred in his sleep and reached up a hand to the one stroking his face. His eyes blinked open and he grinned when he saw Lily sitting beside him.
"Hey," he said, reaching out to brush her face with his hand
"Hey." Lily smiled.
James dropped his hand from from Lily's face, reaching out to pull her onto the couch on top of him.
Lily laughed and smiled up at James, propping her chin up on his chest.
"I missed you." She said.
"You just saw me this morning."
"I know," she sighed, "but I missed having you in Muggle Studies today. I hate it when you're sick."
"Well, I promise to never be sick again." He smirked, pulling her closer.
Lily rolled her eyes before pulling his head down for a kiss.
