Love is Never Forgotten

Chapter One: Reunited.

She paced around her newly purchased house. Even though it was dead cold, she was sweating like crazy. Every second she checked her watch. He forgot, I knew he would. She thought to herself, causing a new layer of sweat to break out. Why am I so nervous? We've known each other for years.

He drove up to 122 Trem Street. After double checking the address he gathered up the dozen red long stem roses he had bought on the way there. "Ow!" He exclaimed as one of the thorns pricked him. Blood oozed out from his finger. He got out from his car and started walking up to the door and all of a sudden he tripped over the curb. "Damn, curb." He muttered to himself. Finding himself at the door of her house, nervously fixing his hair, which never worked anyways. 3-2-1...

Ding-Dong!

Slowly, the door opened.

"Harry."

"Hermione."

"Come on in."

Hermione opened the door a little wider for Harry to enter. He looked better than she remembered. His beautiful green eyes had the same sparkle to them, and his messy jet black hair was, well messy. And in his hands were twelve long stemmed red roses, her favorite.

"Oh, these are for you," Harry said seeing Hermione staring impressively, then gestured for her to take them

"Wow. They're gorgeous!" Hermione exclaimed taking them with unhidden excitement.

She walked to the kitchen to put them in a vase. This was a great time for Harry to look her over. Her hair was bushy and a little tangled, but he loved that. She was wearing a black flowing blouse, that was just perfect on her. To Harry, Hermione looked like an angel.

"It's been too long, Harry," Hermione yelled from the kitchen.

"Yeah, it really has. It's great to see you," Harry said hoping she couldn't pick up on the tone of excitement that was about to burst inside the pit of his stomach.

"You too, Harry," Hermione said, closing her eyes.
