Rain drops trailed down the window creating patterns and streaks, enough to mesmerise the young country giving Arthur enough time to himself to finish his book. With the final page turned he looked up at Alfred and smiled with a slight chortle that caught the boy's attention.
"Iggy come here," he pulled on Arthur's hand with overwhelming strength towards the window. Alfred pressed up against to the glass leaving grubby hand prints that Arthur would surely lecture him about later.
"Look at that it's so pretty what is it?"
"That Alfred is a rainbow at the end of it they say lives a leprechaun who guards a pot of gold." The naïve child's face lit up at that last remark and ran to the front door to clumsily put on his boots and coat. Arthur had realised his mistake but an idea came to mind.
*Time skip*
They were sitting in the car with the radio on trying to find the end of the radio. In the end they stopped next to a picturesque field. Alfred bounded out with wonder in his eyes and ran around crazily while Arthur sat under a tree on top of his spread out raincoat. When the small child had tired himself out looking foe the end of the raincoat he sulked and leaned against his elder brother for warmth. A gold looking object was revealed from a coat pocket and waved in front of Alfred's nose. He grabbed at it with is small chilled hands and peeled away the foil revealing a yummy treat that was gone within seconds.
Arthur explained trying to tame Alfred's curiosity" I found it laying in the grass the leprechaun must've dropped it"
He led the sleepy Alfred back to his car and drove him home before putting him to sleep letting Alfred's imagination do the rest of the work.
