A/N: Hello, I am the author for this little fic that you have clicked on. (Obviously, why would I be here if I weren't?) Anyways, this is my first fan fiction for the Yu-gi-oh fandom, so I would appreciate any feedback you have for me. Oh yeah, just as a note, I technically have set this in manga-verse. I don't think there is anything different from the anime, but just a warning. Without further adieux, enjoy.

Yuugi Mouto, a now seventeen year teenager, sat in his desk daydreaming. It had been around one year since the Ceremonial Duel had taken place sending Atem back into the afterlife. At the time it felt as if he would never get over the loss of his "other self", but he did. He had Jonouchi, Anzu, Honda, and even Kaiba there to help him through it. Yuugi turned his attention back to the teacher in the front of the room.

"Would anyone like to read the next section of the book?" Of course no one except the teacher's pets raised their hands. The teacher rolled his eyes; he had to at least get someone new to read. "How about Bakura-san?"

Bakura sat in his desk and acted as if he hadn't heard anything. The teacher sighed. This odd behavior had been going on for months now. No matter how hard you tried Bakura would not answer to his name. The teacher proceeded to call on another classmate to read the section.

Soon the end of the school day was over, and everyone was rushing to their lockers, preparing to go home. Yuugi also rushed to his locker gathering the books he needed to take home. However, he noticed a white envelope along with his books.

That's strange… And it doesn't have my address, but someone else's. Yuugi knew it was rude to open other people's mail, but he wouldn't figure out who it rightfully belonged to until he opened it.

To the parents of Ryou Bakura, Right there was where Yuugi stopped reading. It was Bakura's letter. It made sense as to why it had made its way into his own locker considering they were right next to each other. He looked to his left and much to his surprise Bakura was standing right next to him. Yuugi hadn't noticed his silent approach with all the chatter in the hall taking place.

"U-um Bakura-kun, this is yours." Bakura just stood there like he couldn't hear a thing he was saying. Yuugi sighed and looked back at the letter. To the parents of Ryou Bakura.

"Ryou?" He said aloud to himself. He had never heard Bakura's first name, or if he had it hadn't stuck with him.

"Yes?" Yuugi jumped at the sound of Bakura's voice. He turned his attention back to the white haired boy.

"Y-you talked."

"Why wouldn't I? You addressed me." Bakura had cocked his head to one side.

"W-we've been calling your name for months." Yuugi was thoroughly confused.

"I don't recall…"

"We've been saying Bakura-san and Bakura-kun yet you still…" Bakura's eyes hardened. Obviously something Yuugi had said stirred up unwanted memories.

"That was his name, and Ryou is mine."

Short, I know. I hope it at least was of good quality.
