*A/N: First of all, I don't own any Zelda characters. Link, Zelda, and all the other ones are property of Shigeru Miyamoto and not me. If I owned the characters, I wouldn't be writing fanfiction, right? Second of all, this story is SLASH, meaning same-sex relationships. If you don't like slash, then I suggest that you find another story to read. Third of all, everything is welcome. I don't care if you flame me, and if you choose to do so, PLEASE make whatever you have to say appropriate. Finally, yes, I know Sheik is Zelda in disguise, but in order for this story to work, Sheik needs to be a boy.

With that said, let the story begin!

~*Chapter 1: Before the Forest Temple*~

A nervous-looking boy walked into the Temple of Time. This boy's name was Link, and he was beginning a quest, a quest that would affect the whole land of Hyrule. The Great Deku Tree had told him to go and collect two other Spiritual Stones, since he already had the Kokiri's Emerald. If he could do that, Zelda, the princess, had promised him a treasure that would help him on his quest. It was something called the Ocarina of Time, and with it, you could play different songs. Some of the songs, he was told, would warp him to certain places when played. Others were used to get things, and one, called the Scarecrow's Song, would enable him to get across wide gaps. Now, as he stood looking around him, he suddenly felt confused. He didn't know exactly what he was supposed to do, but he was sure he'd figure it out somehow. Link saw an altar in the center of the vast room. He walked over to it, pausing to walk over a large round platform, which had the triforce on it, and thought. What had Zelda told him? Oh, right. If he stood in front of this altar and played the Song of Time, the stone door beyond would open up, allowing him an entry. He was trying to hurry, but his fairy partner, Navi, wouldn't hear of it. She kept shouting at him until he listened. "Let's go to the Temple of Time, Link!" she said. "Navi, we're in the Temple of Time already," replied Link, as he played the Song of Time.

The stone doors opened, and Link entered a small room. It was empty except for a sword, which was sitting in a pedestal in the middle of the room. Below the pedestal was a round platform, much like the one on the other room. It, too, had a triforce on it. Link was very shocked to discover the sword, as he was not expecting an actual sword to be there, even though he had the Kokiri Sword inside his sheath.

"Link, isn't that. That legendary blade, the Master Sword?" said Navi in his ear.

Link's conscience seemed to be telling him to pull the Sword out of the pedestal, and so that is what he did.

As he did so, blue light enveloped him, and the platform seemed to whirl around-with him on it.

When things got clear again, he was in a place so unfamiliar that it was almost frightening to him. He looked around-only to discover that he wasn't alone. A bald man with a white mustache was standing across from him. Link was relieved to find out that he was an ally, and not an enemy of some sort.
