Holding their baby boy in her arms, she looked at the grey stone.
That grey stone she picked out herself. Carrying his name forever.
Slowly tears began to carres her cheeks, she didn't stop them from sliding down.
She looked away from the stone to the boy in her arms, who was too small to know.
Slowly she sat on the cold ground, grass teasing her legs, and touched the letters with her fingers.
His name, REMUS JOHN LUPIN
Softly she spoke to their son, told him how wonderful a man his father was.
A good man, a great wizard, a true friend and her dear beloved.
She told their son, how much his father was loved. How much his father loved them.
She told their son, how much she would miss his father, but that he would always be their with them.
Forever in their hearts.
Softly she spoke to their son, that one day they would meet his father again.
That one day, he would open his arms and would hold them close. Close to his heart.
Depressing, I know. But I was thinking about the Deathly Hollows. And then I started thinking about the death of Tonks and Remus. And I realized that only Remus answered the call of the resurrection stone, Tonks wasn't there. And I was wondering why. Did she actually die? Didn't Harry thought that they looked as if they were sleeping ?
What if Tonks did survive? What is she was stunned or paralyzed, but she recovered?
It would still be unfair to her. Losing the love of her life, suddenly alone with their son.
What do you think would happen to Tonks if she did survive?
