The Story of My Life: by Hermione Granger
I was born on September 19, 1980. My parents were
Dr. Emily Granger and Dr. Frederick Granger, they were dentists. At age 10, I
was sent a letter to attend a wizarding school on September 1 of 1991. Shortly
after I arrived, I turned 11.
On the train to school, I met my best friends, Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley.
We shared numerous adventures and countless fun times.
During my 5th and 6th year I was named Prefect. Also in 6th year, Ron and I
became an item. In 7th year, I was named Head Girl along with the Head Boy,
Draco Malfoy. I graduated valedictorian of 1998 and with the Hogwarts Honor,
one of the rare metals of honors given to students who have gotten straight A's
all terms every year. The one before me who got that was Minerva McGonagall in
1934(now deputy headmistress of Hogwarts).
In 1999 Voldemort was defeated by Harry, Ron, and me. I then went to Hogwarts
to teach as the new Arithmancy teacher when Professor Vector retired.
I was still going out with Ron in September of 2000(my birthday to be exact)
when he proposed. On May 17, 2001 I became Prof. Hermione Weasley. April 21,
2002 we had a little girl, Abigail Varenia Weasley. She was nearly 3 years old
when Ron went to Romania to visit his brother, Charlie. A dragon escaped and
Ron was victim to his flames. He was severely burned and was about to return
home from the hospital when, on March 2, 2005 his body suddenly gave up,
leaving Abigail and myself alone. We moved in with Molly and Arthur Weasley
after his death. Everyone in the wizarding community was at his funeral,
including our best friend, Harry Potter.
On August 21, 2013, Abigail and I went to Diagon
alley to buy her school supplies for her first year of Hogwarts in Diagon
Alley. After Diagon Alley, We went into London to buy some clothes. A double
decker bus didn't see Abigail and me crossing the street. Abigail was running
ahead of me laughing and skipping when she was hit. The doctors said she died
instantaneously. So I was glad she didn't suffer. Unlike her father's, the
funeral was kept small. Only family and close friends.
Now it is September 18, 2013 at 11:58 p.m. At midnight I will be making the
ultimate sacrifice. I will be drinking the Drought of Fatality. I can't bear
living without my late husband and late daughter. I can't think of a better
birthday present than seeing them again, hearing them laugh again or seeing
them smile again. Forgive me Weasley's, forgive me Grangers. I must do what I
was destined to do. I'm sorry. I love you all.
