Notes: Here's my very late Valentine's Day story. I wasn't even planning on writing one of these because well this holiday gets to me but after trying to eat a candy heart I have to agree with poor Draco here.
The Elusive Coconut Candy.

Harry watched Malfoy taste another candy from the large heart shaped box. Owls had dropped it with all of the other valentines last week. At that time Malfoy had looked at it with confusion and disgust.
Ron laughed after Harry explained it was a box of muggle candy.
Harry pondered the parchment he was supposed to be writing. He'd managed to write nine words before Malfoy had come into the library but he still needed at least two inches. He peeked over the parchment as Malfoy picked out a round red candy and timidly bit off a piece. Malfoy's face scrunched up in disgust as he swallowed it as fast as he could. He put the rest of the piece back in the box turning the page of the large book he was reading. Leaning to the side, he inspect the remaining candy as if trying to figure which one was NOT poisonous.
Malfoy had been eating candy for close to half an hour. Harry had yet to see him eat a piece of candy he liked and the faces he made while trying them were damn entertaining. Harry had given up on schoolwork but was making an effort to remain unnoticed.
Malfoy tried a green one. His reaction was to spit it out and stick it back in its wrapper.
Harry couldn't help it. "What was wrong with that one?"
Malfoy, finally aware of Harry, eyed him with suspicion. "It has caramel in it."
"What? You don't like caramel?"
"I'm looking for coconut."
"You don't like CARAMEL?"
Malfoy picked up a piece of candy and pitched it at Harry. He caught it in the air before it would have hit him and looked at it. It had small intricate swirls of pink and yellow on it. Harry bit off a small piece.
"Well?" Malfoy said.
"Strawberry cream, I think."
Malfoy looked at the heart half full with candy as if calculating the possibilities.
"Have you thought of crushing them to see what's inside?"
"Please, what's the fun in that?" Malfoy said picking another one. This one was purple. He ate a small corner of it, his face curling to the side in revulsion. "Almond," he said, sticking that one to the wrapper too.
"Is this another one of those Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans things where the surprise is most of the fun?"
"No."
"Because it's kind of weird to taste your way through a box of candy with a grimace. Most people like candy."
"I hate muggle candy. It's bright and cheerful and horrible except for the coconut ones."
"How do you know it even has a coconut one?"
"It always has a coconut one."
"Are you sure?"
Malfoy growled. "Your company is grating, Potter."
"I'm just wondering--"
"Don't!" Malfoy stated, returning to his book.
Harry watched for a moment and chuckled to himself. This was fun. He should always eat a few out of the box before sending it.
~~~ End.
