Lauren walked into the clubhouse, the nearly formed bruises sending dark purple spots on her fair skin. With her returning to town, there was one thing she had been afraid of - get attacked as part of club retaliation. Her fear certainly became a tough reality later that afternoon.

Her eyes scanned the empty room, falling upon the closed chapel doors. It was against the rules to enter while a discussion was going on, but she was terrified. The brunette walked over to the doors, finding herself being stopped by one of the newly elected prospects. "You can't go in there." He said, raising his hand to place on her shoulders. "Touch me and i'll kill you." She snapped, pushing the younger man aside.

Lauren opened the chapel doors, causing everyone inside to rise. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Chibs shouted. "Shut up." She grumbled, walking over to Jax. He didn't seem happy with her, but that'd have to be dealt with later. His eyes shifted down towards the woman in front of him, catching site of the bruises on her body. "What happened?" He asked.

"She probably got slapped around by her pimp. Not bringing in enough money, are we?" Chibs asked, a smug look forming over his face. Lauren turned around, facing the older man. He was a royal ass, what the hell did she ever see in him? "Oi, shut the fuck up. Nobody asked for your fucking opinion." She snapped, causing everyone in the room to chatter among themselves.

"Let her alone." Jax warned, placing his hands on Lauren's shoulders. He turned her around, letting her face him once more. "What happened?" He asked again, the concern peeking through his voice. He always hated when stuff like this happened around the club. "Some assholes broke into my apartment. I don't know what they were after, really. They just kicked me around, riled up the house - then left." She replied, sighing softly.

"Another fucking home invasion, man." Tig said, shaking his head. He was growing tired of all this. Jax sighed, wrapping his arms around the woman before him. "Stay here, darlin'. The guys and I are going to go see if we can dig up anything. Happy will be here, so you know you're safe." He said, kissing the top of her head. When the invasions were brought to Lauren, it was time something was done. His children could have been there.

Lauren frowned, sitting down in Jax's chair. The entire room emptied expect Happy, who was smiling at her. "Look who grew a backbone." He said, shaking his head. He was right, that was the first time she stood up to Chibs since she got back in town. Happy rose from his chair, walking over to Lauren. He took her hands in his, carefully pulling her up. "Let's go do something fun." He suggested. Happy doing something fun? That she was interested to see. Did he even know how to have fun?
