AN: I've been doing prompts all day. Mostly just to shake loose some cobwebs in my head. Prompt: An uninvited guest arrives, how do you react? And I mixed it with the prompt to write a scene using only dialogue, no narration or explanations of any kind. So pure dialogue about an uninvited guest; here we go:
An Argument:
"Dean, quite a surprise. Come in."
"Hey Harry. You seen Seamus?"
"No. Have another fight?"
"Oh don't look at me like that Harry. But yea. And now he's run off somewhere. Did you redecorate?"
"It's Ginny. Every time she gets pregnant she goes through a new color. This time it's – "
"Green. It's nice."
"You don't have to lie. It's abrasive and hideous. I can't wait until her hormones go back to normal and I can reason with her that lime green is an atrocious color for a sitting room. Tea?"
"Love some. Well, this is her third time being pregnant. Maybe she'll calm down sooner."
"One can only hope."
"Where is she anyway?"
"Off with Molly. Picking out new mobiles for the nursery. The boys are napping."
"She's hoping to have a girl this time huh?"
"Oh yes. So what was this fight you and Seamus had?"
"The usual. I'm too possessive. Too jealous."
"Gin used to say the same thing about you."
"You say that with guilt."
"She'd probably be annoyed I'm telling you she said that."
"She told me all the time anyway. It's what she and I always fought about. I don't know. I seem to always be fighting. I just… I am possessive. I can't change that."
"Sure you can. After the war I was a bit high strung, but with some practice I was able to calm down significantly. You trust him don't you?"
"Of course."
"So, put faith in that trust."
"You say that like it's so simple."
"Cause it is Dean."
"Guess I should go home and wait for him huh?"
"Hey, he'll forgive you. He loves you."
"Thanks Harry."
"Keep smiling like that. It suits you better. And now you're blushing!"
"Shut it Harry! I'll see you later."
"Bye Dean."
