Fíli felt a rush of energy wash over him after making that hundredth iron dagger. "What is this feeling?"

Master Orsimer looked at him under his shadowed helmet. "It would seem that you've leveled up, Whelp. Look up at the stars with me."

The young dwarf raised his eyes to the sky. Oddly, even though it was still midday, there were very visible constellations. His cornflower blue eyes followed Orsimer's dark, gloved arm to a strangely anvil-shaped cluster of stars.

"See that anvil?" Fíli nodded at the taller man's question. "Concentrate on the bottommost star. That is where you must spend your skill point." The dwarf wrinkled his brow, squinting at the small speck of light and thinking. To his shock, the star brightened, standing out starkly in contrast to the dimmer stars that made up the rest of the anvil.

And the strangest thing happened. "I-is that normal?" He stuttered. "I feel like I know exactly how to make steel armor and weapons now."

"Yes. That is the true path of a master smith." Master Orsimer nodded sagely. "Now get back to crafting those iron daggers!"

So, this story is a parody of It's Not Easy Being Green. As a sporadic drabble series, it will always be marked complete, but will also be updated so feel free to follow it, if you want. Events in this series will not be considered 'canon' in INEBG unless I specifically note it in the chapter. But as INEBG is a standalone story, this side series will not be required in order to understand the happenings. It's more of a tool for me to get out my silliness in order to not ruin the story.

Hope you get a few good laughs!
