Dracos Rebellion

Chapter one

The manor was cold and eerie with a bitter atmosphere. It was cloaked in such darkness that it almost immediately become insufferable to anyone who didn't belong there.

The fire hissed fiercely in the study where a tall proud man stood, looking down at his son who sat comfortably in the arm chair.

'She's a very talented witch, father' the boy sniggered.

'Why' the man started slowly, 'do you smile when you speak of her? Sit up straight and look at me boy!' He spoke wickedly with a grim, disappointed look upon his face. 'Get that smile away from your mouth'.

'Of course father, I apologise' said his son.

'Now Draco, tell me, what is her blood status?' Lucius asked.

'W- What? Father-' Draco stuttered.

Lucius took his cane to Dracos chin, lifting his head with a force and pulling him forward from his chair. 'Tell me her blood status!'

Draco began to tremble and sweat trickled from his head. He looked desperately into his fathers eyes and gulped.

'Mudblood' he said.

Lucius was more than disgraced. He was livid. He felt betrayed. Lucius Malfoy was ashamed of his son.

'Stand, Draco. Hold out your hands'. Draco did as ordered and his pale quivering hands were held out before him.

'How dare you mention such a thing in my house' Lucius said. He raised his cane to the air once again and struck it across Dracos knuckles, cutting and cracking them instantly.
