A/N: I just watched Sectionals today, and I had to write something about those last few seconds :D :D :D I noticed that a lot of people chose to write about the actual kiss, so I decided to switch it up a little and write about the immediate aftermath. I hope you enjoy it!

Oh, and this is my 40th story! I was just a wee bit excited about that :P

How could a smile say that much?

The answer to that question had never fully been answered for Will until this moment, as he gazed into Emma's doe-like eyes. Her lips had curved into a smile that made his heart melt. That was something he hadn't fully understood either. But as Emma's grin widened, he felt a sensation flutter at the core of his chest more poignant than he could ever recall experiencing. For once in her life, Emma's mind was void of the contamination and germs that surrounded her.

As they broke apart, Emma caught Will's glance, speaking for the first time into the silence of the dim hallway. "What happens next?"

Will broke away from her embrace, leaning over to pick up the forgotten box. He gently entwined his free hand with hers as he led her down the empty corridor.

"I'm not sure," he answered, giving her hand a light squeeze. But his voice was not filled with uncertainty, despite his words.

It was full of hope.

Once again, Emma smiled.
