The way the bombs exploded made Meredith giggle slightly. They all looked like giant red and yellow flowers and the fact that they could do such harm to the world around her amused her to no end. She sat on her rooftop and watched the destruction rage on the town. She listened to the screams and wails of the people in the town she had called home for so long. As she gazed down on her childhood home, she knew that she could never go back now; she was in too deep. She picked up her bag and turned around slowly, her face retaining a smirk, as she faced the group. The tall one, Tobi, reached out his hand for her to take. Meredith just smiled a bit wider and shook her head. He nodded, satisfied, and turned back to the group.

"Come on, people! Move along! We've got to get on to the next location!", he barked in his deep, rough voice. The large group started off, through the house and out the door. Tobi suddenly called for them to halt and held out a single match to Meredith.

"Burn it." She wordlessly took it, staring at the little twig in her hands, before striking it against her shoe. She threw it into a window and the house instantly caught fire from gas trailed through it. As it burned, the band of teenagers whooped and cheered for her great triumph as she stayed silent. Meredith watched for a minute before turning away to follow the rest of the group as they started off on their long journey.

She looked back at the edge of the town at the ruined mass of stone and metal behind her. As Meredith looked at what was there, two words rang through her mind.

"Remember us."
