Spellwork One: Patronus charm

Hermione tried to focus on the meaning of the spell, which was in latin.
Expecto Patronum.
In latin this meant expecto "expectation" of patronum "protection."
It meant you had to expect, believe, in the protection, that it would come and not let you down.
The wording of a spell was very telling and instructed you in half of the magic, which is why it wasn't just about the wand or uncontrolled natural magic, it was about intention and redirecting that with the use of the spoken spell.

You had to believe in order for it to work.
So Hermione scrunched up her eyes and thought of all the million happy thoughts and moments that struck like lightning points around the cerebral network of her brain.
