Some memories resurfaced,
Ones like a nightmare.
The worst days of my life,
Filled with death and despair.
It had started out thrilling,
Then descended into hell,
As the days rolled by,
With a tolling of a bell.
The fires raged and grew,
Around us and within.
So many crashed and burned,
All due to this sin.
The adrenalin pumped through me,
As I killed too many to count.
They all fell before my eyes,
As the death toll raised its amount.
I stopped suddenly,
Realising what I had done.
I dropped all my weapons,
And turned to run.
I'm still running to this day,
From my planet I doomed and all on.
There is no one to forgive me,
For this burden I live upon.
