Why Do I Write?

Why do I write?

Hm, well that is a very easy question to give a simple answer for. I write because I can. That is a very broad answer though. Let's narrow it down a bit, shall we?

I like to write, it helps me get out what I want to say aloud but can't.

I want to write so people can understand my perspective on things, so they will know a bit more about me and what I believe.

I write to create memories. Some things are worth remembering, good as well as bad, so I write to preserve what I can. To keep the time as whole as possible, remember the pain or joy I felt at the time, I write it down.

I write because it's the best way for me to remember that I once felt joy and sorrow despite how empty I can feel at times.

I write because it's a healthy way out of everything that causes me stress or pain.

I write because it's fun to create, because it's part of life, it lasts so much longer than I will.

I write because I can do it whenever I want or feel the impulse to do so.

I write for more than a million reasons, more than I could ever say really.

Like I said before, it's really simple to answer that question.

I write because I can.
