"Hey buddy. You doing ok?" Demyx trailed a hand through his friend's crimson hair, pulling at a couple spikes in order to get Axel out of his daydreams.

They sat squeezed together in one of the Organization's tall white marble chairs in the main room. Axel was dazing off to one side, hands in his lap as Demyx enveloped him in a hug, pecking his cheek with a light kiss.

"Agh!" Axel screamed. He broke loose and jumped down from the chair, falling to the floor way down below on his feet. He took off to a side hallway, running through the corridors of the castle, panting as he broke out into the night air at the top of Oblivion. He halted momentarily, then burst running again until he jumped atop a parapet, gazing out at the dark world beyond. He shed his cloak angrily, watching it fall down, far far down below him.

His eyes were bloodshot and his breath stuck in his throat as he couldn't stop thinking about his friend… his lover.

Rokusasu.

He recalled when the boy first came to join the Organization, crying, whining, complaining. He was assigned to guard the newbie and slowly became friends with him, leading him around, teaching him to fight, eating with him, joking with him, sleeping by his side that day he caught some disease from one of Zexion's culinary concoctions.

Then the day came when they were silently traveling through the basement's corridors and he gripped his sleeve, smiling sheepishly and pulled Axel down a few inches to brush lips. He pulled the boy tight, thrusting him against the cold shining wall, breaking through all defenses, claiming him as his own, always to be his as long as Roxas lived in Oblivion. He wanted the boy to whimper, to moan his name so it echoed down the halls, screaming and pounding the marble…

Roxas would initiate it every time and each time Axel would take over. But he shouldn't have told his friend he wanted to leave. Otherwise he wouldn't have been taken forcefully in his rooms then tied to the bed posts to bleed when Axel was finished.

For days after that, Axel tried to apologize, leaving notes and flowers, screaming at the other members after their every word. He broke Demyx's sitar after he offered to play for him to calm him down. He had rushed to the basement, cowering in a corner to be found by his lover hours later in the darkness.

I forgive you, Axel. It's ok. I'm sorry I wanted to leave. But I still do. But it has nothing to do with you, really! Ok? Axel?

"Axel?"

Demyx's hard footsteps broke his thoughts. He turned around on the parapet to look down at the Nocturne gazing up at him. He offered up a hand to help Axel down but Axel just turned back to look out at the night.

"I loved him…"

"You tell him that?"

No one would miss me.

That's not true... I would.

"Yeah…"
