"Annabeth, come on! I didn't mean it that way!" Percy pleaded his girlfriend.

The daughter of Athena crossed her arms. "No. You said it, therefore you meant it, Percy."

The two demigods had had yet another one of their daily spats, except this one seemed to be a tad worse than the others. Percy Jackson had 'accidentally'

insulted her mother by calling her a "piece of work", resulting in a not so happy Annabeth.

He tried to hide his smile as best as he could and coughed a bit to cover his laughs; she could be so funny when she was mad. She narrowed her eyes alerting him

that he was caught.

"But, I- Annabeth- !" Percy stuttered.

"No, Percy." Annabeth declared and stormed off in a spin of blonde waves.

The son of Poseidon sighed heavily. Not again, he thought. He didn't mean to constantly make Annabeth mad, it just so happened that he didn't really think before

speaking. Ever. No one else got as mad as her though, just mildly upset at worst.

He turned from the scene of the crime and began walking over to his cabin. He kicked aside a few pebbles. He always made her mad, so what was new about this

situation? Sure, they pestered each other, nagged each other and even physically fought each other occasionally, but they loved one another to the moon and back.

No matter how many times they would fight, Percy knew he'd always love that blonde.

He thought of the good times they'd shared, all the times she'd laugh at him and call him Seaweed Brain. He stopped in his tracks. "This...is stupid." He told

himself.

He spun around and marched back over to the Athena cabin in a huff. As he neared the porch, he started jogging and finally came to a halt in front of the door

encrested with Athena's sacred animal: an owl.

Percy frowned. You got this man, he pep-talked himself. He'd apologized thousands of times before, so why was this any different?

He took a deep breath and raised his fisted hand to knock. He took another breath just as the door flew open.

Annabeth's expression of shock morphed into relief, and then she threw her arms around his neck. "Percy." She sighed.

He released her slightly. "Annabeth, I'm sorry. You're just so funny when you're mad- in a cute way! I just want to get back to you laughing at my jokes and I just

want you to not-"

She pressed a finger to his lips causing his voice to cease. "Listen here, Seaweed Brain. I've loved you for a while. And no one else is ever going to think I'm

funny or cute when I'm mad." She smiled.

"And no one else is ever going to laugh at your jokes." She grinned.

"Hey!"

"BUT I think we're stuck with each other."

Percy rested his forehead against hers. "And I'm completely okay with that." He said before softly kissing her lips.
