A Diary Needs Pryde

Chapter 1: Changing

Dear Diary,

Like hi, I'm Kitty Pryde, and if you're not me and your like, reading this then you're totally invading my privacy!

Anyways, I'm Katherine "Kitty" Pryde and I'm a freshman at Bayville High School and I like used to live in Northbrook, in Illinois, but now I live with like a hundred people at The Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters in New York (the state that is). And I like just got this diary from my parents back home because my dad thinks I need to spend less time at the mall and more time practicing my writing so I can have a career someday, whatever.

Ok, so here's the deal for what like happened lately.

Monday

Ugh. Logan woke me up at like three this morning! He said that we like had to have an off-guard danger room session or something. Well if he wanted us off-guard he like sure did it, we were all falling asleep and he set off lasers on us. Lasers! At three in the morning! I'm like totally fried. And convinced that Logan's either insane, or like still trying to get back at us for putting brown hair dye in his shampoo. It's not our fault he's like got this weird coloured hair, we just wanted to make it seem like more normal.

Then, after a long, and much-needed, nap, Lance called. Bobby like totally ruined the moment, when he was the one that handed me the phone. The only thing worse than Bobby answering a call from Lance is if Logan did. I've got this feeling, like somewhere in my gut, that I'm going to be hearing about that call for a week. Ugh, some guys can be so immature! Do I bug him about making little presents and stuff for like Jubilee?

Whatever. On the phone Lance was like a total sweetie, and asked if I wanted to go roller blading in the park on Saturday. But I'm not really sure whether to go or not, because when he's with me he's like the best boyfriend there like ever was! But whenever someone from the brotherhood is there, he treats me like a third grader! And when it's Pietro, like a trophy. But that's better than when Scott shows up, because then Lance ignores me the whole time because he's fighting with Scott, and then he uses me to show him up! And I get dish duty for a week!

Maybe this time will be different. I mean he did seem really sincere this time about how much he likes me. And he did say that he like can't wait to see me. But I still like don't know. Maybe he has changed like he said, and who knows, maybe I can like change him.

Saturday

I guess Lance hasn't changed all that much, but at least we didn't see anybody this time. He was a real sweetie; he seemed to be staring at me like the WHOLE time. He even caught me when I started to fall down. But like the Prof says, things have consequences, or something like that. Because when he was staring at me all this time he skated right into a lamppost. But he looks so cute when he's embarrassed!

And you'll never guess where he asked me out to next! Opps! No time to finish, Bayville's Siren waits for no girl.

A/N: Well, if you want me to continue, and tell you where he asked her (and even tell you about it), R&R!! Please! I need criticism. Oh, and all flames are donated to the "I need a signal fire to get off this island" foundation.
