Standards
Scorpius walked along, thinking, and came to a conclusion.
His life was shit.
Never quite living up to the perfect standards his father had set for him at a young age, he was always a failure. In his father's eyes, at least. That and the fact the he had ruined his father's life.
And that was the truth behind it all. Behind all of the names, the hitting, the glares.
Behind all of the abuse.
Scorpius had simply ruined his father's life.
From the moment he had breathed his first breath, his father's life had started going downhill.
Well, at least that's what Draco told him.
You see, Draco Malfoy had never wanted children and Scorpius was simply a mistake. But they, Astoria and Draco, had agreed to move on in their life and keep the new baby.
To keep up appearances, of course.
Everything had been fine, up until the point when Draco had point blank told Scorpius that he was the bane of his life. That he despised his own son.
It'd had been such a nice surprise.
Not. At the young age of 14, Scorpius had been striving for his father's attention and approval his entire life. And when that devastating blow hit him, Scorpius realized that he would never reach his father's standards.
That he would never be good enough.
That he could never win.
And so he gave up.
And now his life was shit.
And Scorpius blamed his father entirely.
Which is why Scorpius was walking down the cold, dark hallway to his new occupancy.
A cell in Azkaban.
He had just finished with the trial. Where he had pleaded guilty to the murder of Draco Malfoy.
Surprisingly there had been people willing to stand up for him. Few, but some.
Even Auror Ron Weasley had argued in his defense stating that "Scorpius did the Wizarding World a favor by getting rid of a man like him."
The trial had been packed to the brim with people. All wanting to get a look at him. Talking about him. Saying that it wasn't surprising; he is a Malfoy. That they had expected nonetheless.
Well, he thought to himself, chuckling dryly. At least he'd lived up to their standards.
AN:I have absolutly no idea where this came from...Most of the time I picture Draco turning into a good guy after the war and being a great father but this popped in my head and wouldn't go away 'till I wrote it! Sorry if it depresses anyone! Review please! :))
