Chrysanthos

Haruhi's reviewers lay forgotten on her study table as she silently regarded the bustling road outside her apartment window.

She was beyond tired of her everyday routine.

She was, dare I say, completely sick of it.

The girl wanted more. Much, much more than this.

But how selfish of her to think like that.

Her gaze trailed after a stray dog, a bit amused by its trying to catching its tail, as she drifted off with her thoughts. Absently placing a hand on the glass's cold surface, Haruhi saw her own reflection staring blankly back at her. She blinked twice before tearing away from the window.

She looked so unlike herself.

She wondered how Tamaki and the others never took notice, which she was really grateful for at the very least. Being cornered by the blonde was exasperatingly tiring, let alone the Twins. Aside from them being annoying, she still loved them all the same.

Haruhi sighed.

She wasn't going to cry about this, no...

...

But sometimes it was just too hard to handle.

The brunette muttered a low curse when a lone tear managed to make a trail down her now pinkish cheek, much to her shock. She knew she shouldn't allow petty problems like this to bother her, but this one just broke the code.

Mother in heaven... Why has things become like this?

The girl abruptly wiped her face with her sleeve.

Enough.

Enough.

Please, get yourself together.

She blew out a long, unsteady breath and decided that taking a walk would help clear things a bit. Or so she hoped.

Shutting the door close behind her, she started walking the streets of her hometown, still consumed by her thoughts. The cold winter wind blew past and made her shiver, but she paid it no mind. Taking walks like these were peaceful, albeit other people in the town. She sighed contentedly. For once in her agony, she thought everything was going to be fine, and how right she was.

Just as she was about to make a turn, there were loud screeching of tires and honking of horns. People's ear-splitting screams added to the mix, echoing around her.

It was downright deafening.

It happened fast.

Haruhi felt herself fall flatly onto the hard concrete, and something warm and thick pooling just underneath her head.

Ah... She marveled at the clouds. The sky is pretty today..

Her vision blurred.

As the world around her was slowly turning black, someone was screaming her name. It was strangled, but solid with clarity. The man cried her name again and again, more desperately each time. His strong arms gently cradled her limp form, enveloping her in a sense of safety.

Haruhi swore she saw an angel, her angel.

The weak sunlight made his blonde locks look more of a golden colour as he blocked the sun from her view.

Will his wings take me to Mother?

For a moment, her eyes drowned in his azure ocean pools, feeling relieved.

If that were the case, then she wouldn't mind dying.

She felt that way for as long as she could remember, anyway.

The man shook her violently this time, cupping her cheeks with his warm palms, but her eyes shut to a close.

The last thing she felt were drops of hot liquid falling on her face, and a head being buried in the crook of her neck.

I just had to write this one down when the idea presented itself to me, and it was freakin' four in the morning. It was FOUR FREAKIN' AM and I totally COULDN'T resist! And hella, this is my first Ouran fanfic! 8D I apologize for grammatical errors, if there are any.

Don't forget to drop a review may it be good or bad. It's a chance for me to improve on my writing. Thank you, dear reader! 8D
