This is my second story, a one shot for BlazeClan's Friends Forever? Please review!

Littlestrike ran blindly through the forest, blundering through the thick brambles of ThunderClan territory, without taking heed of the thorns collecting in his pelt. Littlestrike was just too upset to care.

When Littlestrike could run no more, he collapsed limply onto a patch of grass and lay there for a while, trying to catch his breath but not caring if he didn't. Littlestrike thought he would be quite happy going to StarClan now. Lifting his head, he looked up to Silverpelt, where the cold stars blinked back at him.

"She promised, didn't she? She promised we would be friends forever, always helping each other, always being there for one another!" Littlestrike yowled out his heartbreak to the sky. "But she broke her promise, my only friend broke her promise, and with it breaking my heart. I loved her so dearly, she was the only thing I had. And she left me! I'm alone! Utterly alone!" His energy spent, Littlestrike once more laid his head on his paws and sat on the dewy grass for what felt like moons. Why didn't Icesong listen to me? The same thought wound itself through his mind again and again. But then again, Icesong had never been one to listen to other people's advice. She made her own choices, and wouldn't let herself be swayed by what anyone else had to say. Suddenly a memory came back to Littlestrike with a flash.

"Why don't you go say hi to Icekit?" Snakeflower asked her kit. Littlekit could see the sympathy in his mother's eyes. He knew all the other kits thought he was strange. But Icekit was the youngest kit in the nursery, and if Littlekit talked to her before Owlkit or Tawnykit, she might be friends with him. Lifting his black head, Littlekit padded over to Icekit, who was playing in the leafbare snow by herself.

Littlestrike shook away the memory. That was in the past now, and there would be no more playing with Icesong.

"Hello. My name's Littlekit. Do you want to play with me?"

"Sure, Littlekit! I'm Icekit." The two kits scuffled in the snow for a while.

"Littlekit?"

"Yes?"

"Do you want to be my friend?"

"Yeah!"

"Promise we'll be friends forever?"

"I promise."

Jerking back to the present, Littlestrike realised that the shadows were getting longer and longer. Something in the back of his mind told him that his clanmates would be worried about him, but he ignored his mind.

"Hey, Littlepaw?"

"Yeah, Icepaw?"

"We'll never be like them, will we?"

"Like who?"

"Like Owlpaw and Mallowtail? Mooning over each other all the time?"

"Never. We'll be real friends!"

"Friends forever?"

"Forever! Who needs love when you have friendship?"

As the moon began to rise over the forest, Littlestrike realised that ThunderClan would soon be heading this way. Slowly, he pushed himself to his paws and dragged himself over the border into unmarked territory. He sank down again, this time under a bramble thicket.

"Congratulations, Icesong!"

"Well done to you too, Littlestrike!"

"It's so cool that we're warriors now!"

"Yeah, we can be together even more!"

"And we're still best friends forever?"

"We always will be."

Icesong had always been so sure of herself, so confident. She would always argue her point until everyone else just gave in. That was what led to it.

"Icesong, no! You can't go there! Seedstar forbade any cat to go there!"

"Yeah, but we're not just any cats, are we?"

"It doesn't matter, we can't go there!"

"Well, I'm going. You can stay here if you want."

So Icesong had run off into the forest, and the next morning Littlestrike had run to the fox den to find Icesong's broken body lying on the forest floor.

Icesong had been my only friend. Why did she have to go into the fox den?
