I was given the prompt, "opposites." I don't own NCIS.

"They're polar opposites."

"What does that matter, Tony? She obviously loves him."

"But why does she love the little gremlin?"

"I do not know, Tony. What do you want for dinner?"

"I just cannot see what she sees in him..."

"Tony," Ziva said, turning to face him. They were standing in the kitchen, Ziva by the sink and Tony by the fridge, looking for a drink.

Tony stood up straight and looked at her. She was giving him that look. He shut the fridge and watched her. "What?" he asked.

"Throw the subject."

"Drop," he corrected.

"Whatever. Drop the subject. Breena loves Jimmy and he loves her. Why does it bother you so much that he is happy with her?"

"She's out of his league!"

"I am out of your league."

DiNozzo looked down at Ziva, raising his eyebrows. "You're out of my league?" he repeated, watching her. He studied her body, eyeing her up and down, and then Tony realized that she was indeed out of his league. How he managed to snag the foreign girl, the jokester had no idea.

Ziva nodded and walked past him, opening the freezer. "How about chicken of some sort?" she asked, pulling out the vacuum sealed package of chicken breasts.

Tony turned and watched her again, speechless. He never realized how lucky he actually was to have her.

"Tony."

DiNozzo blinked. "What?" he asked, looking into her eyes.

"You are not listening to me, are you?" she asked impatiently.

"No, no. I'm listening," he assured her, smiling.

"Then what did I just say?" she quizzed.

"Uhm...you asked if we should have..." he trailed off, looking away from her.

"Men," she muttered, filling a bowl with water and putting the package of chicken in the bowl. Ziva then turned around, facing Tony.

"It wasn't my fault I wasn't listening to you!" Tony exclaimed, offended.

"Then whose fault was it?"

"Yours."

"Mine?" Ziva asked, surprised. "How was it my fault?"

"Because you made me think about you being out of my league. And I never realized how lucky I was to have you," he admitted. Yeah, it sounded completely girly for Tony to be admitting that, but it was the truth.

Ziva looked up at him, surprised by his candor. She was almost speechless. "I am lucky to have you also, Tony," she replied softly.

"I love you, Ziva," DiNozzo said, closing the space between them, kissing her lips.

Ziva kissed him back and Tony rested his forehead against hers. "I love you too, Tony," she replied with a smile.
