Erudite

"Ignorance is a lack of knowledge," that is what I was raised to believe. Whether this is true or not is beyond my comprehension.

I was born an Erudite, and like my mother I intend to die as one.

But this is all to change. Next week is the Choosing Ceremony. I will have to pick whether or not I stay with my faction or move to another one.

I was taught by my father, a die-hard Erudite, that if I had changed factions that he would never forgive me. Especially if I went to Abnegation. Though self-less and always ready to give up their seat to you on the train they are confined to a strict schedule, something that seems almost painful to me.

I could see myself as a Candor, honest and truthful. They seem to be slightly reasonable. I don't know whether or not my father would hate me if I chose them. Then that means he raised me properly! So he should feel proud!

Being a Daugntless would be scary to me, they get piercings and tattoos, do strange, daredevil stunts. Something I could never muster myself to do.

Amity? Now Amity, the peaceful ones, seem OK. Another one that my father probably wouldn't mind me going into. But then again, we're talking about my father, someone who got in a shouting match with a Abnegation man. Which is weird, they usually keep to themselves.

So if I got to pick, I'd be Candor or Erudite. But that's the point, I don't get to pick. I have to take a test that will determine my match. Then the next day I have to pick between my own faction, or one I've only seen.

Go against my father, or live my own life.

The choice is mine, one choice that will change my life.
