This is an AU fix and I KNOW they didn't have "Wii" during the period when the show was set, but just roll with me here lol No fluff, just crack, enjoy!
DISCLAIMER-I don't own FMA
Roy Mustang took off his hat and ran his fingers through his hair. It had been a long day.
"Hawkeye, if you bring me one more piece of paper I have to sign or read, I'm going to make YOU forge my signature…"
"I believe that wouldn't be acceptable, Sir, and plus, it's almost six o clock." She said plainly, pointing a pale finger towards a clock hanging on the wall.
"Thank goodness. I thought this day would never end."
"You sound like you need a break Colonel. Why don't I come over and we play a nice friendly game of Wii, that should take your mind off work."
Her superior leaned forward and rubbed his temples. "Maybe that would help. Sure, why don't you come over and we can play Wii…my niece nephew come over all the time and play it."
"Is that so, Sir?" She tucked a stray hair behind her ear.
With a curt nod, he placed his hat back on his head and glanced at the clock. "Well, I believe we can go now, Lieutenant."
Brown eyes trailed towards the clock which now read six o' five. Both stood and made their way out to their cars. "I'll see you there, Sir."
He gave a quick wave and drove off, the blonde following close behind.
"I'll have you know, I play my nieces and nephews in bowling all the time, and must say I'm hard to beat." The Colonel flashed a cocky grin. Riza grabbed her controller and rolled her eyes.
"I'm sure you are, Roy."
With a bowler's stance, the man pushed the button and pulled back his arm, then in one smooth motion, took a step forward and swung his arm towards the screen, sending the ball rolling down the alley.
Much to his dismay, only two pins got knocked down.
Pulling back his arm a second time, he swung forward, the ball knocking down two more pins this time.
Riza gave a low whistle. "I can see why you're so hard to beat."
Roy hardened his gaze. "I'm just getting warmed up." He reasoned. Now it was her turn.
In the same stance as he had been in, she pulled back her arm, and swung forward. Much to Roy's surprise, the big word STRIKE began flashing on the screen.
"And that's how you bowl." The woman plopped down on the couch and grabbed her drink.
"Impressive, Lieutenant. But we're just getting started."
~*Seven Frames Later*~
Roy stared bewildered at the screen.
Riza: 145 Roy: 100
"Well Colonel, give up yet?" By the tone of her voice, he could tell she was basking in the glory of beating his butt. "Don't worry, there's still two frames left."
And in those two frames, the Colonel managed to get a spare, and then five pins followed by a gutterball-giving him a grand total of one hundred fifteen. "Man I suck…"
"Don't put yourself down," She encouraged, swinging her arm forward on her final shot. The word STRIKE showed up for the final time that evening. "You still beat your nieces and nephews right?"
He put his controller away and dejectedly slouched into his favorite recliner. "Yeah, easy for you to say."
Riza walked over and patted his shoulder.
"Next time, Colonel. Next time."
