I woke up as my train pulled into District 2. I looked outside thinking how free Panem looked after the rebellion. The ride from District 13 to here was brutal but whatever, I am here now. I hoped off the train and collected my bags. I couldn't help but think how abusive the Capitol was. How selfish they were to leave these poor districts with nothing while they partied every night and day. And District 2, the best district of them all, the closest to the Capitol was devastating. I couldn't imagine how bad the other districts look. I shouldn't be speaking because I used to live in the Capitol. Of course I hated it and joined the rebellion as soon as it took place.

It was a beautiful summer day with the sun shining and a gentle breeze. I was wearing a loose blue dress and cream heels. I walked towards the direction of my new home and spotted a local bakery. Ever since Peeta was in the Hunger Games, I had an addiction to bread. I smelled the scent of fresh bread and opened the door. To my surprise, I saw Gale Hawthorne waiting in line. He was even more handsome than on TV. He had the perfect muscular body, with hair spiked to perfection, and those grey eyes. I walked to get in line hoping to look good. But of course I had no such luck. Because of my new job I had to wear these ridiculous heels and I wasn't yet adjusted to them quite yet. I stumbled forward and if it wasn't for Gale's ridiculously fast reflexes, I would have made an even more foolish attempt to save myself.

He helped me back up and we had a very close eye to eye contact.

"Hi I'm Gale," he said.

"I know. I mean, because of the Hunger Games and all." I said trying to cover up my lame response

"Haha I know its fine. I've become some kind of celebrity around here because of it."

"Well I don't think it's just that. I mean you were one of the leaders of the rebellion."

"Yeah you're right," he replied with a smile that made my heart melt.

We both bought some bread ironically the same kind and he bought me some coffee and we sat outside and ate together.

"So you lived in the Capitol? "He asked "Why are you here now?"

"Well I hated my life in the Capitol. I joined the rebellion but there wasn't much I could do. Not with my overprotective step-father. But after the rebellion, I joined this group called Melting Snow. You know President Snow, that's where they got the snow part. Anyways they send a group out to the Districts to make sure everything is fair and peaceful. Kind of what the peacekeepers were supposed to do."

"Well that's good news," he said.

Just then I looked at the clock and saw that it was 12:00.

"Oh I've got to go. I have to check in my apartment by 1:00 or I'm sleeping on the streets tonight. "I said as I gathered my things," But It was really nice to meet you Gale. Call me and maybe we can meet again."

"How can I call you if I don't even know your name?" he replied as he got up

A wave of worry hit me. I wasn't sure if I should tell him my real name or my fake one. No, I would tell him. The Capitol has fallen and Snow is dead. I had nothing to hide, no more secrets, no more secret life.

"My name is Lila," I said with a breath, "Lila Odair."
