Lily knocked on the Head Boy's door. "James?" she whispered, cracking the door open slightly. "James, may I come in?" Not hearing a response, Lily hesitantly opened the door and stepped just inside. She giggled at the sight before her. James Potter was spread out on his bed, fully clothed with an arm and a leg hanging over the edge and the other arm thrown over his eyes. His mouth was open, and he was snoring quietly.

She silently crept towards the bed. Grinning mischievously, she untied the ribbon holding up her hair. She carefully crawled onto the small sliver of empty bed and lay on her side, facing the sleeping James. She held the pearly white ribbon over his head and began to flick it across his nose. James frowned in his sleep and wiggled his nose. Lily shook with silent laughter as she continued to assault the wiggling nose with the ribbon.

Suddenly, James rolled over and slung his arm over her waist. "Lemme sleep," he said, snuggling his face into her hair.

"But, James! It's snowing! Come play with me!" Lily whined. "In any case, you should be happy. At least I didn't jump up and down on the bed to wake you."

Eyes still closed, James's mouth began to turn up in a grin. "As long as you're the one jumping on me, Lily, I have no problem with it."

Lily rolled her eyes and began tapping his nose to get him to open his eyes. He tried to ignore the annoying act, but eventually he groaned. "Lily! Stop it!"

"No. I'm bored. Get up! It's snowing! We can build a snow wizard and snow angels!"

James sighed and opened his eyes to see Lily beside him. He smiled goofily. "I've been dreaming about waking next to you for years," he said, leaning in to give her a brief peck on the lips.

Lily pulled away as far as his arms would allow, fluttered her eye lashes innocently, and said, "I know you have, but if you don't get up and come play with me, you won't be waking up to me again."

James groaned, jumped out of bed, grabbed his cloak, snatched his wand from the side table, and gestured for Lily to lead the way. She grinned and skipped out the door after stuffing her ribbon into her pocket.

James laughed at his girlfriend's enthusiasm and followed her outside, where Lily plopped onto the ground to create a snow angel.

"Make an angel with me, James!"

"Make an angel? Are you sure, Lily? I mean, we haven't been dating long," James said, smirking.

"Get over yourself, Potter." Lily huffed, getting up. James laughed and carved an angel in the snow with his wand.

Together, they managed to build a lopsided snow wizard and watched as Lily's charmed ribbon spun above its head, forming a pearly white halo.

"Thank you," Lily mumbled, snuggling into James's chest.

"For what?" James asked.

"For playing with me."
