A/N: Hey! It's been awhile. But here I'm back and writing Glee fanfics!
It was days like this that Brittany loved. The clouds were all puffy and looked like bunnies. That made her smile immensely. Of course, everyone thought Brittany was looking at the sky looking for the aliens that abducted her, but that was not the case. This time, Brit new exactly what she was doing. Moving swiftly, the large puffs swirled across the sky. Vaguely, Brittany wondered if Santana would be getting to school soon.
Brittany liked Santana. She liked the smell of her hair, and how her shoes were a tad squeaky. If you asked Brittany was in love, she'd respond with, "I don't play tennis." But it was apparent to most people that Brittany loved Santana. It was also apparent that the feeling was not mutual. Santana was in love with Puck. This didn't bother Brittany at all though; she just liked being near Santana. The hot make-out sessions weren't bad either. But, she didn't call herself lesbian because she thought lez meant lizard. Suddenly, the blonde heard a sound waft through the parking lot. At first she thought it was Santana's shoes, and she got excited. However, it was the squeaking of wheels, Artie's wheels. "Hi… do your wheels always spin?" Brittany asked, tilting her head. The look on Artie's face resembled something of a vet opening up a dog's stomach to find a condom blocking the digestive system.
"Um… yeah. So what's up?" Artie replied, relaxing into Brit's stupidity. Ditzy as ever, Brittany looked up. "Never mind… Um…," He really didn't know how to talk to this girl. He admired Santana for being able to carry a conversation with this girl.
"Can I wheel you around?" This question was abrupt, and even Brittany was surprised about asking this. The handicapped boy just nodded, stunned by this response. Silently, the two made their way down the hall, dodging the congestion. Some people gave them looks, but they continued on. Screeching at a sudden halt, Artie was thrown forward in his seat. After recovering from the attack, he looked to his right to see a vending machine. "I decided I wanted gummies." Brittany deadpanned. Artie shook his head. This girl was so… random. It was endearing, somehow. Once the gummies were purchased, something strange happened.
Brittany wheeled them into an empty classroom, and then she proceeded to sit on the boy's lap. "I haven't kissed you yet." Artie stared in disbelief.
"Is this why you've been talking to me? I'm just some goal? Well, I have more respect for myself than that. And I have more respect for you, Brittany. You deserve more than what they lead you to believe. Now please get off of me, I don't want to change my mind," Artie stated, his voice quivering. Brittany first looked confused, then hurt, and finally, admiration.
"You're the first boy to say no to me. As much as that is a blow to my waffles, I feel funny. It's warm and tingly, like tennis." Brittany solemnly got off of Artie, smiling slightly. Santana had never said she deserved respect, or anything of the kind. Santana never spoke to her, actually, unless it was about Santana. Or if they were making out, Brittany added in her head. She decided she liked this boy.
While Brittany was having the longest thought process of her life, Artie started to wheel away. But before he could get very far, Brittany caught up to him and started pushing him again. "You remind me of clouds, cute and quishy." Artie gave her another look of disbelief. She reached down and took his hand. "Do you like armpits?"
A/N:1) In Tennis, it's scored in love. 2) People would ask her if she was "lez" and she'd respond with "I'm not a lizard. 3) Another reference to love and tennis 4) She thinks an ego is a waffle, because of the brand Eggos. 4) Armpits is a reference to the show
