A/N: I hope you enjoyed this short story. I might add on to it at a later date.
"Do you want power?" ask my great-grandfather, interrupting my training. I stared up at him, wanting to make sure he was asking me truthfully. His face didn't give me a lie.
Do I want power? Yes, I do. I couldn't stand looking at the faces of other people who lost their love ones, with grief. I want power to protected the people around me. To make sure no one else lose their parents like I have.
"Yes, Great-grandfather, I do."
I stared at the pretty red hair girl, feeling sorrow for the little thing that Rezo is using as a pawn. She earned my respected, putting on a good fight without using powerful magic.
The mana bolt had brought her to unconsciousness, almost barely breathing. She had no clue what she was dealing with. I bent down, and started searching for the statue. After a few long minutes searching, I had groan.
"You were not the one carrying the statue, were you?" I asked, frowning.
"Master Zelgadis, you killed her?" ask Rodimus, almost eagerly. I shook my head. Killing a such a girl would be a waste.
"She doesn't have the statue," I said, picking the girl up. She was light, almost like a puppy.
"Then what do we do?" ask Dilgear, sighing slightly.
"Force the information from her, of course."
"Hahahaha, stop tickling me!"
I knew Zolf was a bit zany, but I could not hold back my surprise at his... his methods. After watching Zolf and the others tormenting the poor girl, I yawned.
"Leave her for the night," I said. Zolf open his mouth to rejected that idea, but stop at my look. Zolf nod his head, knowing what was at stake. I turn from the room, and walked away.
After that familiar dream, I know I could never work for Rezo. After learning that my body was just a test to him for him to regain his eyesight. Any love I had for Rezo was gone now. Not again, not after everything he put me through. Before I knew it, I was standing near the brave redhead.
The fearful look in her eyes as I pulled out my sword. She thinks I'm going kill her. Maybe it would be easier to do that instead of escaping with her.
I don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe with that damn stone, I could change my body back. Yes, that what I would do. Get the statue, then fix myself.
It was then I realized I was the pawn, not the redhead.
