Hey guys! this is a companion story to my other fic called Hair Twirling. You don't have to read that fic to understand this one, but i ask you to read it anyways! Enjoy!
Annabeth laid across Percy's chest as the movie started and nuzzled her head under his chin, completely content.
She couldn't see his face, but she had a feeling that he was smiling as he wrapped his arms loosely around her and began to draw patterns on her back.
She tried to pay attention to the movie, but once he began to play wit her hair, her eyes grew heavy and she soon slipped into an unusually peaceful sleep.
When her eyes opened again, she was in Percy's bed in about the same position as when she fell asleep, except there was a blanket and sheet wrapped around them, tangling around their intertwined legs.
For a moment she was confused on how she had gotten there, before she realized Percy must have carried her. She stared up at her Seaweed Brain and admired the way his hair looked glossy as the early morning sun shining through the window landed in his peaceful form.
Percy began to stir as she reached up and brushed his raven locks from his eyes that slowly opened and revealed his beautiful green orbs before quickly blinking a few times to adjust to the light pouring through the window.
When his eyes finally focused, he smiled softly at her and kissed her briefly on the lips before untangling himself from their blankets and standing to stretch..
He then turned back to her and saw that she had sat up and caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror on the wall before hurriedly trying to make her hair that was sticking out in odd places lay down on her head.
Percy snickered and she paused to turn and glare at him before returning to her task. He didn't mind her hair like this, he kind of liked it so he was a little sad when she found a brush he had left on his nightstand and used a ponytail holder on her wrist to pull it back.
He reached his hand out to her and she took it, letting him pull her up from the bed and he then asked what she wanted him to make for breakfast.
Annabeth turned to him with an exasperated look as they walked out the door and said, "Like I would let you cook! You remember how well that turned out last time, don't you?"
"It wasn't that bad!" he argued back.
Annabeth raised an eyebrow.
He was about to say something else as they walked into the kitchen, but stopped short when he realized Sally was watching them, hot food already on the table.
"And yes, it was that bad," Sally said to Percy as she poured herself some coffee.
Annabeth didn't even try to hide her smirk.
