Hello people's of Fanfiction! I'm back, and better than ever! So I have been obsessed with Doctor Who for a while, so that is my grand entrance! So enjoy, and sadly, I do not own the show Doctor Who. If I did, I would be traveling with him.
River Song watch the Doctor from behind the tree. He was whistling a Christmas tune, and was walking toward the tree next to her, she duct further behind the three, hoping he wouldn't see her curly blonde hair. She heard a clunk, then a clink. She peaked out from behind the tree, and saw the edge of her husband's ankle climbing a ladder. The ladder started to go back into the trees, and she chased it, grabbing it before the ladder was gone from sight. River grasp the ladder, and pulled her self up. She stepped on a platform, and looked up, seeing a long spiral staircase.
"Oh Sweetie, what are you up to?" River whispered, smiling to herself. This was the first time she would see her husband since they had lost... Well... It had been a while. She gathered her skirts of the 18th century dress she was wearing and ran up the stair case, to the very top. Half way through the climb, she was cursing the corset that she was laced up in, trying very hard not to take the thing off right there. She stepped onto a platform, covered by a cloud, blending into the sky. "Oh, how beautiful!" River said, looking at the view, she turned to take in a 360 degree look, when a she felt a hand grab her arm and something pointy in the small of her back.
"Who are you and what do you want. How did you find me?" A voice behind her said.
River smiled happily, and replied, "Hello Sweetie," River said with a hint of sexiness,"Oh husband, is that a banana, or are you excited to see me?" She turned around, and took a step back.
The Doctor, her husband, was actually holding a banana. He looked depressed, with a top hat fitted on his head, which she laughed silently at, and a bit surprised.
"River. What are you doing here?" He asked in surprise, his eyes widening.
"Can't a girl visit her husband? Maybe show off her new dress?" River purred, to king her husband's collar lightly, smoothing it out.
"I haven't seen you since..."
"I know. I missed you." She replied, looking at his face. He looked sad, like he was in a dark pit, looking for a way to escape, but never seeming to find it. River knew that look. I was the look her face bore thousands of times during her childhood. She decided to throw down the ladder, and give him a way out.
" I'm sorry. I know I haven't done what you asked, and I still blame myself for your parents."he whispered, touching her cheek. River leaned into it, enjoying the feeling of his rough, calloused hand against her soft skin.
"Oh love, you know I don't blame you for them. Though I am kinda mad that you haven't exactly followed your wife's advice. Doctor, you know not to travel alone."
He nodded, and looked up at her, shyly trying to convey his message. River sighed in exaggeration, and said, "All right, let's go."
Her husband gleefully grabbed her hand, and pulled her along. He pushed her through the Tardis doors, as the Tardis decided it was time to be cheerful, and redecorated. River laughed at the pair, and smiled as her husband was talking a mile a minute, pulling levers, pushing buttons, and wacking doodads.
"So, where to, Wife?" The Doctor asked, to which River replied,
"Anywhere. But first, help me with this corset. It's killing me." She winked, sauntering off to his bedroom, and leaving a stunned man in her wake.
