I was in the mood to write some Rose and Scorpius fanfiction, so this is a little bit of what I came up with. The whole scene takes place in another fanfic I'm working on. So...enjoy! Please read and review! I'll greatly appreciate it!
I SADLY DO NOT OWN ANYTHING EXCEPT THE STORY. ROSE, SCORPiUS, ALBUS, THE INVISIBILITY CLOAK, AND MOST OTHER THINGS BELONG TO J.K. ROWLING, OF COURSE..
I quietly trudged down the steps trying to make my footfalls as silent as possible. Someone was surely patrolling the castle and couldn't possibly get caught. What would my mother do if she figured out I'd gotten myself into trouble again? This time though, it would be my fault.
I hid under Albus's invisibility cloak. Luckily, he had been too busy fawning over the new girl to notice I had gone up to the boy's dormitory to steal it. As I ran the silky silver fabric through my fingers after pulling it out from under his bed, I was reminded of our short adventures with it back years ago and the stories of my parents and uncle's adventures with it.
I finally made it down to one of the empty classrooms. It smelled strongly of dust because of its lack of use the past few years. I slid off the cloak and placed it on one of the desks.
The sound of footsteps came from the hallway. I quickly pressed up against one of the walls holding my breath.
"Rose?" someone whispered.
He stood in the doorway, his white blonde hair fixed perfectly like always framing his angular face and gray eyes.
I ran over to him throwing my arms around his shoulder. "Scorpius."
"Didn't think I would show up, did you?" he asked me pulling away and closing the door.
I shrugged. "I don't know. You haven't written me any this summer. I thought you'd given up."
"Of course I didn't, Rose. I would never. It's just…I was having problems with my father. You would think after all these years and everything they've been through, my father would've at least considered the possibility of me being with a Weasley."
"I understand. All summer, I waited and waited to get up the courage to tell Dad. I couldn't. He's impossible anyway. I still remember my first day getting on the train he said he'd disinherit me if I married a pureblood. He'd go insane if he knew I was dating one."
Scorpius took my hand in his. "I wish things were less complicated."
I nodded. "Me too, but they're not. Just be happy there's not a war going on."
He laughed. "Maybe if there was, our parents would be a little more lenient."
I glared up at him. "Not funny. Let's agree that by the end of this year, they'll know. Okay? I don't want to wait forever and end up losing you."
"Me either, but have you met my father?"
I squeezed his hand and begged, "Please. I don't want to have to go around with you secretly forever. I want to be out in the open holding your hand without fearing one of my cousins will tell my Dad."
He leaned in putting his forehead on mine. "Okay. I promise. I'll tell if you tell."
I stretched up on my tippy toes and pressed my lips to his. I couldn't bare thinking about never being able to do this in public eye because of being afraid of my own father. I wanted to be with Scorpius badly, and I was determined to. No matter what my dad thought. In the end, it was my decision.
There wasn't anything he could say to make me think differently.
