Every child grows up except one. Becoming an adult is an inevitable part of life. Peter Pan always had a difficult time accepting that. But that had never bothered Peter, he didn't want to grow up, so that he was able to stay a child was the way he liked it. That is, until he ended up alone.

Sure, he always saw it coming, but a large part of him wouldn't admit it. When it finally did happen, Peter didn't throw a fit, he acted very mature, and let it happen. The Lost Boys were dissolved, they split apart. Leaving Peter to only have Tinker Bell.

Peter always thought that the reason that the Lost Boys split apart was because it was time for them to grow up. Those boys meant a lot to Peter, he wanted the best for them, and if that meant that he had to let them go so be it. A small part of him blamed himself for the dissolution. Even though he wouldn't admit it to anyone, not even himself, Peter had changed. He wasn't as lively as he used to be. His adventures became few and far between. He was really distant in general. It all started when Wendy grew up.

Peter may be just a boy, but that doesn't mean that he isn't capable of loving someone. He loved Wendy, with all his heart, even enough to let her go. Wendy knew she had to grow up, she had to become a lady, even though it wasn't what she really wanted, it was how it must be. Her and Peter accepted it, and she left to continue her life outside Neverland.

After Wendy left, Peter wasn't the same Peter. Some might start to say he was beginning to grow up himself. Even the other boys, and just like always they followed his lead, the only difference being they accepted that they were growing up. Something that Peter could never do.

A life of adventures and fun soon became loneliness.
