Inadre, a continent housing life of all kinds, is about to become embroiled in a brutal war, with no end in sight. All the different races are about to engage in battle with one goal, elimination of all other life. Why must they fight, and why now?
There are four dominant races, each has their own pride, as well as their method of combat.
Humans: The most plentiful, as well as the weakest, yet most adaptable. Humans have no natural advantage in battle, but are unique in that they can learn magic from all other races. Located mainly in the open planes, or in the stronghold-city of Kethin.
The Elven: A ancient race who claims to have lived in Inadre long before any others existed. Long lived, yet few in number. Skilled in both blade and magic, they are stronger and more agile then any human. They carefully guard their ancient magic and its secrets. The only race who has the knowledge of nature magic, they can command the very trees and plants. Their fortress city, Dirmer, is located somewhere within the Ancient forest of Dekern.
The Beastkin: A unusual race, they are half beast, half human. Legend has it that they were humans cursed by a sorcerer to be outcasts, neither man nor beast, but no one knows if this was true. Varied appearances are common among them, no two look similiar, some have wings while others have tails or claws. Physically the strongest out of the four races, they posses immense strength and speed, far surpassing all the other races, yet most are unable to use any magic. The ability to use magic is rare among them, only one in every thousand born can use it. They tend to keep to themselves in the mountains of T'uthan
The Nightwalkers: Silver skinned humans who have adjusted to life underground. Unknown until recently, they have emerged with a immense army, intent on conquering the other races. Masters of darkness and stealth, they were originally though to be stories created to frighten children, despite their appearance being rather unintimidating. They are physically a match for the elves, but are able to use darkness magic, which has been long thought impossible. They wear visors along with their clothes to protect their eyes from the sun. After millennia underground they are unable to adjust to the harsh sunlight of the surface.
There is a fifth race, but it has been though to have died out centuries ago.
The Dragons and Dragonkin: Many times stronger then the other races, yet there were never more the a hundred of these powerfull beings. The Dragonkin were created when a Dragon gave up its body to live as a humanoid. They kept their nigh immortality, but became as a human. This has only happened a recorded three times, twice to seal treaties, and once due to a personal matter.
The four remaining races are about to enter a heated war, All of the races have been eyeing each other warily for decades, but recently, at the borders, entire towns have been found slaughtered. At each location there has been evidence pointing to another race. Despite insistant denials from all sides, they now prepare for war.
(This is going to be my first 'interactive' story, a idea a friend gave to me. Pm me a character, and, if it is within the first 4-5 that I get, then I'll use them in the story
