Plissken was staring at her eyes even if she hadn't noticed yet. They were the same color as the sky behind her over the airfield. Steven loved the sky and if it was possible the fact her eyes were the same color made him even more attracted to her. His eyes remained locked on hers and it wasn't until Taylor came up and nudged him that the world outside of her eyes and the sky around her head faded back.

"Got the hots for her?" Taylor whispered in a voice that was just on the verge of a taunt.

Plissken gave his friend an eye roll in response. Taylor knew their new communication specialist was just his type; long legs, curvy, maybe a little too curvy for a lot of men, always smiling in between dirty looks.

"The altitude getting to you?" Steven questioned still watching the woman talking with their superior officer about the duties of Plissken's squadron. Taylor stifled a chuckle.

"No. Man, though is she getting to you." Taylor's taunting continued.

"She can get with me anytime." Snake returned taking his eyes off of her for the moment.

"If I know you, you will in less than a month." Taylor countered knowing Plissken's ability to charm women was unsurpassed.

"Too bad it won't be tomorrow. Those eyes and legs are going to kill me." There was just a hint of what Steven was thinking in that sentence. All of it was dirty.

"Reporting for duty, sir." The staunch yet soft female voice caused Steven's head to snap around. He hoped she hadn't been standing there long.

Her hand lowered from the salute and came up lightening fast catching him full in the cheek. It burned red hot with stinging pain as Plissken realized she must have heard something of what they had been saying. She returned to the formal position and stared him down waiting for her orders.

Plissken couldn't speak. The audacity of the woman paired with her beauty and silky voice put Plissken into sensory overload. He couldn't do anything but stare a little wide-eyed as he rubbed the hotspot her hand had created on his face. A faint smile cracked in her expression and her eyes dazzled with something Steven interpreted as a challenge to say anything more about her. If Plissken could have found his voice he would have said something dirty.

"We'll brief you with the rest after dinner. Dismissed." Taylor covered his friend's ass by taking charge for the moment.

The woman spun on her heels and walked off. Taylor instantly started laughing when only Plissken's eyes followed her all the way to the barracks. After some time Steven's wide eyes broke away and glanced over at his friend.

"My God!" Steven muttered which only caused Bill's laughter to escalate.

"Looks like you got a little filly to tame." Taylor could barely get the words out between his chuckles.

"Tame?" Plissken smirked as his eyes lit up with the look of a troublemaking boy. "Hell no. I want her just the way she is."

Steven started walking toward the mess hall and Taylor caught up. The laughter had finally stopped and Taylor walked in silence still grinning. Things in their squadron were never going to be the same once Karsonova and Plissken went at one another. Bill couldn't wait for the sparks to fly and it was only a matter of time.

Plissken on the other hand was still thinking about her eyes as they walked back. He had always thought his eyes were blue but hers, hers were like someone had taken the ocean and sky together and created a new color. Plissken didn't even know how to describe them. Blue just didn't cut it. The only cure for that was to go look again. Plissken smiled ready to give chase if only to see those eyes again.
