If there was one word to describe Sonny Quinn as he looked down at the screen where Lisa and Clay crowded together, the golden boy's arm slung around HIS girl, it was jealous. Yep, he was jealous of Clay. Not of the injury that nearly took him from the teams, not of the months of rehab he had yet to face. No, he was jealous of the fact that at this exact point in time, Clay was exactly, down to the position of his arm around Lisa, exactly where Sonny wanted to be. He wanted to be at that graduation ceremony, watching his girl achieve her goals. He wanted to be the one who caused her eyes to light up with happiness when she looked up from her seat with the other Ensigns to see who was filing her guest chair at graduation. He was the one who wanted to take her out for a nice dinner to celebrate, and yeah, he wasn't going to lie to himself, he's the one who wanted to take her home and, ironically enough for someone who had drowned weeks before, wanted to drown himself in her to make up for the 12 weeks of being apart. So, yeah, he was jealous of the guy who was jealous of him for being right where the other wanted to be. And the worse part? He couldn't show it. So, he did what he was best at, he hid what he was feeling behind a smile and a laugh.
