Confrontation
"What the hell are you doing Puckerman?"
Jake slowly turned around facing the small cheerleader with her hands on her hips showing that she means business.
"What are you talking about Kitty?" Already he was tired of this conversation, he had places to be and people to do.
She strutted down the hallway until she was in his face, "The whole man whore act, I thought you liked Marley and for some strange reason you chose her over me, now do you understand or did I use too many words?"
He started to turn away when a hand reached out and made him look at her, "Look I'm your friend and just want to know whether you're ok, you're one of the only people here that I consider a friend."
Jake sighed and shut his eyes, "I can't handle it you know, Marley wants me to be perfect like her and everyone in glee club is expecting things from me that I don't think I can give. I don't think I can be better."
"That's not true, you don't need to be better you know that this act isn't you, you're Jake Puckerman the guy that loves and respects everyone, we all love you the way you are."
"It's too late, I've screwed up with Marley", he said with regret and sorrow.
"That's not true, she's still pining after you, and she pretty much blew off Ryder the other day. And if she still doesn't want you then it's not the end of the world; you'll just have to find someone who is worthy of you, someone with better fashion sense." Like me she thought.
He gives her a shrug and a smile, "You know you're probably my best friend, Ryder was just waiting for me screw up with Marley. You're the only one who actually cares about me."
She gives him a bright smile, "You know how lame this is right? We're standing in the school hallway after school professing our friendship for one another, we need to leave; breadsticks your treat."
He just shakes his head and smiles before offering his arm, not knowing what he would do without her.
