The wind was strong. Izuku had his mangled umbrella as proof of just how unruly it had gotten. The rain was falling down in sheets and he'd gotten soaked very quickly. The streets were mostly empty, the storm having driven most people inside despite how quickly the weather had changed. The combination of wet clothes and hravy wind left him cold and shivering, except for his hand wrapped tightly in his boyfriend's.

"This way," Kirishima said. "We can cover under there."

"Alright," Izuku agreed, letting Kirishima lead him to a small alcove between two building. The slight overlap in the buildings roof provided some cover, but it didn't leave them with very much room. Izuku was left shivering as he huddled close to the wall.

"Hey," Kirishima said, standing close enough that Izuku could feel his warm breath on his ear. "Are you cold?"

"Aren't you?" Izuku asked. He turned to look at Kirishima, blushing as he realized how close they were and they were only becoming closer. Izuku was quick to avert his gaze. "H-hey! Wh-what are you…"

Kirishima moved behind him, wrapping his arms around Izuku's waist and holding him close. "You said you were cold. It should be warmer that way, right?"

"Y-yeah…" he mumbled. His face certainly felt hotter and his heart was beating faster. Kirishima's chest was firm behind his back and Izuku couldn't help but lean into him.

"Relax," Kirishima told him. "It doesn't look like it's going to let up any time soon. We'll probably be here a while."

"That's not the problem," he replied.

"Oh?" Kiri leaned forward enough that Izuku could see him smile. "What is the problem then?"

There faces were way too close! Izuku looked away swiftly. He tried to lean out of Kirishima's arms, but that only resulted in being held closer. "D-don't tease me!"

Kirishima nuzzled his neck, tightening his arms around Izuku's waist. "Who's teasing?" he asked. "You're the one that keeps looking away."

"We-we're in public!"

"No one else is out here," Kirishima pointed out. "And even if they were, that's fine, isn't it?"

Butterflies danced in Izuku's stomach. It wasn't that he and Kiri were never affectionate with each other, just that Izuku still hadn't gotten used to it. He still stuttered when meeting his boyfriend's gaze for too long, blushed when they cuddled around their friends. Honestly, Izuku wasn't sure that he would ever get used to being this affectionate, especially not openly, but that didn't mean that he didn't like it.

Izuku turned a little in Kiri's arms, causing him to look up and meet Izuku's eyes. "Y-you're right. It's fine."

Kirishima smiled widely, leaned closer. "You sure?" He pressed their forehead's together. "Because I really want to kiss you."

Izuku felt his words settle inside, making him feel warm and putting a smile on his face. He leaned forward himself, catching Kirishima's lips in a kiss that was immediately reciprocated. It was long, but chaste, a simple press of lips, but Izuku felt warmed all the way too his toes from the exchange. They pulled away, warm breath mingled between as they laughed.

"This isn't so bad, having you here," Kirishima said.

"Yeah." A flash on lightening lit the sky, followed shortly by a crash of thunder. "Still, we should try to get home before it gets too much worse."

"Do you wanna run?" Kirishima questioned, an excited grin spreading across his lips.

Izuku wasn't sure they were close enough to make it back to his house before the cold caught up with them again. A smile still spread across his face and he took Kirishima's hand in his own again. "Let's try it!"

Laughing, they took off once more, neither noticing that they'd left behind their mangled umbrella.
